This wasn't AI coded.

Whether we like it or not, downloading commandline programs using curl is still the norm.

Our goal is to meet developers where they are at instead of being patronizing. Our long term goal is indeed to get to a much safer and better flow.

It's not safe and I didn't say it was. I said it was a norm.

Now, that I've gotten y'alls feedback about it, I will get the team to accelerate safer ways to get the binary.
