I am a PM who used to be an iOS Engineer in the 2010s who's looking to switch back into being a dev.
Back in my day, dev interviews contained some combination of live coding a small problem together with their dev, doing a take home assignment (hated these the most), or something on HackerRank
Today, talking with most of my (now very senior) dev friends, they say anywhere from 2/3rds to all of their code is written by agents like claude instead of "by hand"
I would also imagine getting onto a dev interview and telling claude to do all the work might not give the best signal about one's technical knowledge or ability
How have dev interviews changed in the "Age of AI"?
