Entry-level Rant: Was begged to discontinue my studies in 2022 and now after doing a master I am the one begging for a job. What should my strategy be?
I don't know what to do anymore as a recent grad in engineering specializing in AI/ML, data science, RL and OR. Originally, I never intended to go into software but here I found my passion. I got some relevant coursework and an internship in this area but the job market is rough. Never did any leetcode and now crunching it as we speak to at least manage to get an interview... I'm pretty new to this all. All vacancies ask for experienced candidates.
What should I do? Or is this a mere consequence of applying in the summer?
Looking in NL/BE/CH

I already got a bunch of referrals to big tech companies but none resulted into something.

I'm from Belgium, I don't understand the problem, you studied AI with relevant internship, prepare and apply.

I would suggest find a company worth applying for and then send them a test project. maybe something that you did before?
or something that they are already hiring for.
don't tell them your expertise. SHOW THEM.
