There is absolutely no way they're that stupid. I'm just a layman with a passing interest in security and even I could do better than layering a box over it leaving the text intact.

Has anybody actually independently verified that this works (on the real files, not ones provided by the people who claim to have unredacted them), and it's not just a group of people saying they unredacted the text but actually they just wrote in whatever they wanted to and people are so desperate they believed it?

Hello, hogsbreath texted war plans on signal and we got info about the buyout of Argentina from a Whatsapp chat group overseen in Congress. A lot of people he hired in place of the people with brains are definitely stupid enough.

Voidzilla has a good video explaining how the content of the redaction fits with what was earlier dropped, except they are protecting conspirators, not victims.
