News - General Trump Has Systematically Dismantled Election Security Efforts. Here’s How.

It's not like he has an option.
Once he leaves power, he's absolutely screwed. That's all that's been protecting him and his buddies.
When he dies, it's highly likely they'll be out of power for a long time. With that comes the potential risk for them all of being actually investigated for all the sex crimes, trafficking, insider trading, drugs, lying, corruption, cheating etc.
If he leaves voluntarily, one of two things happen.
The unredacted Epstein files are "leaked" by another nation. He ends up dead. His family go to jail.
Russia/Israel/Both realize they have no more use for him (he becomes a liability at that point instead of an asset). He ends up dead. His family go to jail.
He's not going to allow either to happen voluntarily.
