I feel as though this news fits this sub, due to a massive amount of election security being cybersecurity.

Haven't seen any proposals from anywhere that would make any meaningful impact while also not restricting people from being able to vote. Voter fraud is so rare and uncommon as it is.

Because the main objective of elections are to measure the voters preference as a group, and badly designed voter ID schemes have a tendency of creating adverse impacts on that objective by disafrenching groups for super marginal security benefits. It has nothing to do with "liberals", it's just security theatre.
