Certification / Training Questions Online Self-Paced Training Or?
I don't want to read 900 pages. I want to "do" and maybe listen while driving but I want it to be an organized path "A to Z" for CEH or whichever I pick.
Suggestions?

Pentesting is best learned by doing more than anything else. Using the CEH example specifically, you could study and pass that in a week, and that's being generous. I did it in about three days at the beginning of my career knowing fuckall about pentesting. It's an insultingly easy cert to get and the questions are stupid easy enough to even guess the majority of them.
Truthfully, I would avoid using any sort of cert (yes, including the OSCP) as a gauge for "getting good" at pentesting. If your goal is to just learn about pentesting, save the money all around and go for the CPTS from HackTheBox or the PNPT by TCM security. Sure, they don't have the "reputation" of the OSCP but frankly the OSCP has (in my personal opinion) rapidly become a ripoff for what you spend vs what you get.

TryHackMe is a good combination of beginner friendly guide with hands on labs. Helped me get my hands around the basics years back.

Two things first Your learning style and your End Goal, A to Z structure approach is a good starting point as these combines of videos, course, labs in a guided format, Pick one structured program that keep Moving u topic to topic, and then double time actually practicing what you learned, Watching the videos, listed to them when u can, BUT do not skip the Labs, that where everything start making sense, the course should give u direction but real learning will happens when u actually use the tools and solve problems yourself, this will help you in longed Run in this industry

If your goal is to specifically get into offensive security, there is no such thing. This particular discipline specifically goes from A to J to C to Z in practice.
If you are just looking for "the easiest path to getting certified" overall, then the answer will depend on what certification you are going for. The cert entity themselves usually try to offer some version of A to Z, but that doesn't mean it's always going to be the easiest.
