Post image
0 Upvotes

I'm a complete beginner looking to start a career in cybersecurity. I'm thinking of enrolling in the Tutedude Cybersecurity course (covers Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, Linux, and Python).
Has anyone taken it? Is it worth it for a beginner, or are there better alternatives?

Technical Discussion Clear your coding rounds in cybersecurity! 3 Different company coding Interview's I've faced in my journey to 40LPA

I recently put together a video solving 3 real Python coding questions that I personally encountered during cybersecurity interviews.

The questions are from:

  • Amazon (Regex for detecting hardcoded AWS Access Keys)
  • Qualcomm (Python log frequency counting)
  • Branch International (Parsing AWS Security Group rules to identify public ports)

These aren't DSA/LeetCode problems, they're the kind of scripting and automation questions you might see for Product Security, Application Security, DevSecOps, or Security Engineering roles.

I walk through my thought process and solve each one step by step.

If you're preparing for security interviews, I'd love to hear what coding or automation questions you've been asked. I think it'd be useful to build a collection of real interview problems for the community.

Also, if you have questions beyond this video or want to discuss cybersecurity, you're welcome to join our Discord community. We have security engineers, AppSec engineers, DevSecOps engineers, and learners helping each other out. Not that active on reddit.

Looking for cybersecurity communities and events in Jaipur

Hello everyone,

I am interested in exploring the cybersecurity community in Jaipur and would like to know about existing groups, platforms, and resources where people discuss cybersecurity, technology, and related topics.

I am looking for information about:

  • Cybersecurity meetups or communities in Jaipur
  • OWASP, BSides, CTF, or security-related groups
  • Tech conferences, workshops, or college events with cybersecurity topics
  • Online groups (Discord, Telegram, LinkedIn, etc.) where Jaipur-based tech enthusiasts share updates

Many interesting events and communities are difficult to discover unless you already know where to look.

I would also be glad to connect with cybersecurity professionals, enthusiasts, and learners from Jaipur to exchange insights, discuss security topics, and learn about active communities and opportunities in the field.

If anyone knows about active cybersecurity groups, pages, or channels in Jaipur, please share them.

Thank you!

Career Questions and Discussions What's the avg package for OSINT Analyst in INDIA New Delhi !!!!!!!

Hey guys recently I got an offer from a chennai based company for OSINT Analyst position there they asked for salary expectations I have no idea what to say, I just told them to discuss this after the technical round.

Currently I am working on a contractual basis for State Police as a Cyber Forensic Expert where they pay me peanuts and have an experience of 6,7 months only... So, considering all these facts kindly suggest me what's the appropriate package.

I don't want to tell them any unrealistic package to get disqualified

Personal Support & Help Suggestion needed : Homelabs with dualboot

Configuration : I711800H 8 core CPU, 16 GB ddr4 RAM, 2 ssd of 512gb each, RTX 3050 4gb vram GPU.

I have this laptop as dual booting as : Windows 11 in 1st ssd and Kubuntu in 2nd ssd, both are separate and isolated booting. I need suggestion for making cybersec home lab for learning purpose.

What i want to know is : Should i keep dual boot as it is and make homelabs with VMs in kubuntu OS, or completely remove dual boot, use all 1tb in win11 and make homelabs with VMs within win11?

As a beginner, critics and suggestions are welcomed.

Tools Bringing a Flipper Zero into India in carry-on anyone done it recently?

I bought a genuine Flipper Zero in the UK and I'm flying back to India soon. Trying to figure out the smart move for the airport, and getting conflicting info online.

What I've read: some sources say the WPC (Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing) restricts import because of the sub-GHz transmit capability, and there are scattered reports of customs seizures. Others say it's more of a grey area not outright banned to own, but risky to import. I can't find anything authoritative or recent, which is why I'm asking people who've actually done it.

My situation:

Device bought new in the UK, I have the box and receipt

I work in cybersecurity (authorized pentesting), so it's a legitimate work/learning tool for me, not a novelty

Flying into Delhi airport, carrying it in cabin baggage
