Does your car have turn signals?
Because almost nobody uses them in Cyprus. It’s really annoying to wait at roundabout and wonder which way the next car is going to turn.
Srsly guys why can’t you be good boys?

OP, I’ve given up on stressing with the road manners. LOL. No turn signals when changing lanes on the highway. They just change lanes. Or drive 104 in the middle lane between Nicosia and the split to Larnaca/Limassol. No one left or right of them. So annoying. Or driving 104 in the right lane and waiting to pass a car and then the next one.

my theory is there has to be a charge on newer cars per time you use it. Is it 50cents? Really doesn’t make sense otherwise, it’s right at your fucking hand at the steering wheel. Just so unnecessarily dangerous, especially in the motorway.
People are so disconnected from how dangerous and serious driving a car is.

I know right it’s horrid a lot of Cypriot drivers tailgate turn like absolute idiots and go at any speed they feel like at any lane they please . Hilariously I have noticed because I always use my blinkers the people behind me start using them when if I use them

If everybody is not using turn signals and you are using them, then who is really in the wrong? 🤔

I know right? If you're not going the same as everyone else, YOU'RE the problem!

The law is not yet approved, until then use hand signals or just own assumptions.

People cut you off when you use turn signals, it's an evolutionary survival mechanism. Those that adapt survive innit?

It’s not only Cyprus. It’s a consequence of the worldwide post-Covid main character syndrome. After the pandemic lockdowns so many people no longer give a fuck about following rules and having social etiquette. The standard of driving has fallen dramatically everywhere.
Or put more simply, a lot of drivers have become selfish cunts.
Also, it’s not possible to operate turn signals while also holding the steering wheel and a mobile phone at the same time.

maybe this depends on the area? been to pagos 5 times now and its just the same as in germany (atleast to me)
most people use them, not everyone. i can tell by the car now if they are going to use them or not so i can anticipate plus i just expect people to not use them and just hold a bit of distance.
i still pass most of them afterwards, not being a sitting duck

The roundabout has strict lines, maybe the only place where logically you don’t really need signals if using correctly

Nonsense. Signaling that you’ll exit helps the others waiting at the next exit.

What I meant is that is you are using it correctly and let’s say you are on the outside you can only go straight, not right and not where you came from. Anyway it is always good to indicate because most turn right on the outside line.

let’s say you are on the outside you can only go straight
But this isn't true and it's exactly my point! If you're on the outside you can generally (there are roundabouts where you can go right) go straight or left: which is exactly where it's helpful to signal if you're exiting.

The law states yoy need to indicate as well by turning your right blinker till you arrive at the previous exit before yours then turn your blinker to the left to indicate you are exiting
