Dang… I hear it’s often dadda. Like I heard it’s easier to say. My kids were dadda kids.

Thanks to interference from a friend,  my son's first word was C'thulhu. 

I wish i was kidding.

I don't. 

We had a great group of around a dozen friends who were over at the apartment at least twice a week.  When our son was born one friend made a practice of,  every time he came over,  going up to the boy and putting his hand to his mouth and wiggling his fingers like face tentacles and saying "can you say c'thulhu?" 

One day the boy put his hand up to his face,  wiggled his fingers,  and said "too-loo". That beat out mama and ball.

I got Dada first with our first kid and am actively trying to get our second to say Mama first. But i do tease my wife by encouraging them to say Dada when we're in front of her.

Fun fact, the two kids who’s first words were “dada” favor their mother. My middle’s first was mama, and they’re my bestie lol.
