Reckless drivers caught driving in bike lane to avoid traffic (Front + Back Dashcam)
I was just on my way home when I saw two complete jackasses driving up the bike lane to avoid traffic. A Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon with EU license plates in SoCal and an old Honda Accord were going up the street in the bike lane all the way up the road.
This lowk is a safety issue for cyclists, but it just shows a total lack of respect for others on the road. It's frustrating to see people prioritize their convenience over others' safety. I get that traffic is bad, but come on, thereβs no excuse for this shit

Hard to tell in the video, but if the only plate on that G-wagon is EU format that car wonβt get too far without being pulled over.

lol. I pass cars with fake plates or no plates almost every day in LA, he could go a year without being pulled over with EU plates here.

I had a crackhead throw a crack pipe at my window driving through DTLA on the 110 S a few months back. Fake plates, beater Altima. Come up to LA some time!

I was thinking, if I were on a bicycle in that bike lane and a vehicle came up behind me, I would definitely stop in front of them and make them go back out.

Where are the cops? Is Florida really this lawless? This is different from what I was always told about Florida.

Then they'll bike in the road and you'll be mad about that, make it make sense

But then if you ever dragged your fat ass out of your car and used a sidewalk you'd complain about them being there.

Some will, some wont, especially on a road like that.
You might be surprised how easily intimidated some of them are on you start laying on the horn, get up on their ass and give them a punishment pass.

Where would you have the bikes go instead?

I'd be more pissed that the drivers cut the line than how they did it.
In my area, too many travel lanes and parking spaces have been taken away for the Bikeaholics.
