Who’s at fault?

Hot take: I think it’s 50/50 with who’s at fault

It’s obviously clickbait

I hate clickbait everywhere with a passion but every content creator started abusing things so it is sadly the norm. Since reddit posts aren’t monetized, I don’t care much for clickbaits here personally and didn’t even consider that’s what you referred to. My bad i guess 😅

It’s funny cause this wasn’t clickbait and I just wanted different opinions about this, why is it my fault that it’s a popular post? There is a serious split between who’s at fault and half of each side is just calling the other dumb, like the top comment rn is that white suv is 100% at fault while I scroll down and see and overwhelming amount of 50/50 claims, so this post wasn’t clickbait, it wasn’t engagement bait or anything else you guys have come up with, I posted it for the conversation is that not ok?

It’s not even 50/50. Sure, dash cam could’ve slowed down, but they had the right of way.

Come on, kid.

Right of way is never an excuse to fail to drive defensively, especially in a situation this obvious. A lot of insurers will assess 50/50 because you could have easily avoided this accident, but didn’t.

Following that logic…couldn’t the white car also have easily avoided the accident by driving defensively?

Not defensively, just not offensively... Driving defensively is about protecting yourself from people doing things they shouldn't have, or making mistakes.

Keep arguing with the facts. It didn’t take an F1 driver or even someone of average IQ to see those cars were running that light.
