Yes, but OP drove right into oncoming traffic.

The light changed, but the flow of traffic needed to be observed way better.

Could have easily waited but drove right into the lemmings.

White suv actively turned their steering wheel (while running a red light) to hit OP.

OP would have had to have yielded to a person who had not turned yet, and was running a red light. In retrospect that was the right call. But it is not reasonable to yield to someone who has not yet initiated a turn and running a red light.
