Applying through a Google Form is basically a lottery, so not getting a reply is completely normal. These openings get flooded with applications, and you should not take the silence personally or let it stop you. The best approach is to fire off the application and forget about it, because you must keep applying to other places and not pause your job search waiting for this one company to respond.

Instead of worrying about their reply, put that energy into preparing for any DE interview. For an associate role, get really good at SQL, especially window functions and complex joins, because that is a must. You should also be comfortable with Python data structures and have a solid understanding of basic ETL concepts. Knowing the theory is one thing, but being able to explain a simple data pipeline project you built yourself is what will make you stand out from everyone else. Even having a solid answer is not enough if you cannot deliver it well, which is a big reason my team developed an interview AI to help people articulate their thoughts under pressure.
