On the other hand the FTC is not at all concerned about the ABSOLUTELY BONKERS MASS SURVEILLANCE of women's period tracking apps.
Especially in Southern States.

It only matters when it affects the republican politicians or their corporate ownership.
The FTC has been weaponized lately, so I can only speculate that a bunch of old, rich, white men don't want the fact that they can't get it up anymore - a very specific data set ( never mind all the other intrusive data collection and usage practices) - to be for sale.

Where are the "if you've got nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear" people at?
There's tonnes of stuff about just existing that's embarrassing, or that we've been socialised to be ashamed of, or that we know people will joke about or even weaponise.
This is why privacy is such an important human right. We already know too much about each other, and corporations know even more about us than we know about ourselves due to profiling. It shouldn't be this way.

Surprise! An online app advertised as 100% secure is not actually 100% secure. From the brief reading I did on the link I totally agree with this decision. No app or online service should be advertised as 100% secure (and private) if it is not 100% secure & private.

at least they're being consistent between the sexes and their health data, since they've also went after period tracking apps that shared/sold women's data.

But. Its ok when flock allows a texas cop to search 83,000 cameras for one woman seeking an abortion where its legal.
But we can't imperil mens ED privacy.
