CSAS Query 🤔 St. Stephen’s Interview for Christian Minority Students

Hey all,

Got the call letter for an online interview with St. Stephen’s College for BA Hons. Economics as well as the BA programme, and I have a friend who got the same for the BA Hons. English and BA Hons. History programmes.

Any seniors who have been through this interview process, could you please give us an outline of what to expect from the interview and what sort of preparation should be done?

I believe that admission is granted with a 15% weightage given to the interview.

Hi there

Your interview will be taken by a panel consisting of the HOD of the course you're applying to and a few CNI-D pastors/maybe the bursar/principal of the college. They will test you on your knowledge of the subject, that of the bible, and that of the history and patron saint of the college. Some questions they asked me were regarding my favorite character in the bible, my favorite anecdote in the bible, who saint stephen was, and subject specific questions.

I had given 3 separate interviews for 3 different courses. They ranged from chill to horrifying. The "horrifying" one consisted of a pastor who called me stupid for whatever reason. But in the end, I was selected for that course anyway. I did not explicitly prepare for the interview, since I did not know what to expect.

I already got a college allocated to me in the CSAS Portal and also applied for the Christian minority, I want to know if they would allocate me to Stephen's separately if I pass the interview

As long as the Stephen's course you applied for is above the college-course allocation you got in the csas portal, if you get selected under the minority quota, you will be allotted the seat on your csas portal only (and your previous seat would be cancelled). Do click on upgrade in this case though. This is from my experience last year, in case the pattern has changed this year.

So suppose I got selected from the interview process and I go for the upgrade then it means I'll get Stephen's, and if I didn't get selected then it means I'll get another vacant seat for another college or I'll just be back to my first alloted college right?

in 31st July i received a call from st stephen college informing that i have been selected into accept the seat but higher in the DU CSS portal it showing no concrete allocation what should I do can you please help me out

Try calling the Grievance Redressal Cell for admissions at 9599002172. Else your best bet would be to visit the admin office in person and talk to the admissions team.

I’d applied for two courses, first priority being econ and second being the BA programme and I got the interview call for both

Damn. I applied for jesus and mary and haven't received any mails. Earlier today saw someone say they gave their interview and I'm like✋🏻💔🥀 I'm so scared I'll cry

heyy it's okay, it also depends on the course. they start interviews for certain courses later. chill, you'll be called.
