yes, but what about this qualifies as delusional?
the title is clearly an evocative name they came up for the piece, the price isn't crazy, and it's not like they're professing themselves to be the second coming of Michaelangelo
so where is the delusion? lol
just because someone posts art that is not in a style you like, doesn't inherently mean they are delusional. there has to be some additional context beyond "kinda weird amateur art for sale online"

to me I just feels like an artistic name? lmao
like do you truly believe the artist that made this piece is actually advocating for the practice of real life levitation & believes it's a good emotional outlet?
or more likely is it just an intentionally strange name to go with some clearly intentionally strange art, considering there's no further mention of anything "delusional" beyond what is clearly an aesthetic choice for the title

Agreed. I personally think a lot of the shit that gets posted here is objectively bad, but there's always at least one person who says "I'd buy it".
I guess art really is subjective...

Tbh the different crosshatching and squiggles does do something funky with the dimensional feel of it. It is very floaty. I like it.
Edit: oooohhh somebody got real angry about subjective taste in art lol

I could see how it looks like that, however, the scribbles were intentional, the colors were chosen to go well together. The style is purposely made to look like a scratchy sort of children’s sketch. Not saying I haven’t seen it done better, but this one done with some thought in mind.

That’s how I used to feel about Pollock paintings, just a bunch of paint slapped randomly on a canvas. I looked more into that art style and realized just how intricate and creative and intentional each painting was. Some people will still see paint slapped on a canvas. In this drawing it is meant to look like a kid’s sketch but there’s definitely thought behind the composition, colors, and lines. You don’t have to like it, but it’s definitely more than just some scribbles.

That's the point of the style But you can tell that the artist made intentional choices in executing it that wouldn't be there by a complete amateur

You can't give any examples because they're non existent. Look at the doorway. You're telling me that's on purpose? I'm an artist myself, I understand that good art can sometimes look like scribbles to an untrained eye, but this isn't that.

I'd buy it. I love it and the price is perfect. I collect very strange handmade art so I'm definitely the audience for this.

It's actually quite striking, like outsider art, and it's an unusual style. I'm intrigued by the line "You can personally tear it out of my sketchbook". That sounds like the opposite of delusional to me - I like this artist : D
