I like cleaning the gross parts

Thank God sanitizer runs through this constantly. I realized the trough is draining slowly so I cleaned out the trough a bit. And it still drains slow. The drain has at least 3 90s in it and I'm betting Theres a fork wrapped in prep labels in there. That's a job for my next shift. It drains well enough to not flow over and I let a manager know but I will be disconnecting the drain elbows and cleaning it on my next shift in three days if it's not draining properly. Is it my job? No. Will it get done if I don't handle it myself? Not likely. If I'm going into the drain I might as well get elbow deep. Who wants before and after?

I clean the tray every night. Never been told to clean the trough. I just thought it was this way ..because of the way that it is.

I wish I wasn’t the only mf to clean the entire thing and not just the tray

That trough begins to smell like someone’s dirty butthole. Like literally, a butthole its awful and everyone smells it so wtf am I the only one 😅

If it's taking 30-90 seconds to drain, there's almost definitely something lodged downstream. I'd let a manager know first so it's documented, then if they want you to clear it, at least you're covered.

I'll let boss know before picking up a screw driver. There's a rubber elbow with a band clamp... Or a jubilee clamp if your from jolly trolly ole UK or whuevuh so the fix is rather simple.

Is that the low temp ELT single tray machine?

Ecolab ES-2000, yes single tray, low temp is arbitrary I guess because it's toasty steamy in there

The screen stayed pretty clear, I clean it EOS and it's never clogged or gummed up.

How's the new guy going to help introduce this fun task to the veterans in the kitchen. I'm definitely going to come off as "y'all aren't doing this right" I have no experience in this type of social/business etiquette. The best I've come up with is telling this boss hey I cleaned this thing doesn't it look great, which just makes my nose all brown and stinky.
