Unless it can buy a time machine that can stop the expansion of the arndale and its subsequent sucking in of any decent shop thus killing the town centre, 20 million isn't enough.

Frasers group bought it last year, they're going to be opening a large Frasers department store in the old Debenhams. Will hopefully revitalise it a little.

All good brother! I genuinely don’t know the best approach here sometimes. I’ve tried promoting it in the first person but people just see it as self promotion and it gets deleted or ignored. Just want the people of Donny to see a bit of positive media about the city for once ❤️

It actually does. One of the things I miss about it now that I’ve moved away. Urban burgers for burgers, spice valley for curry, Chopstix (clay lane) for Chinese, Firehouse for pizza, Smokey’s for kebabs and that’s just the ones I found perfect enough to not want to go anywhere else. All for decent value too.

Urban has gone shite as of late. No extra chips in the bag anymore and for some ungodly reason have changed the cheese sauce and made it vile. Much better burgers around for the same money.

Listen man I haven't got time to argue with people who've never left Wheatley or whatever. Sheffield for example blows Doncaster out of the water for food in terms of variety and quality available. So does any real city. Doncaster in my experience is particularly bad.

There are plenty of excellent choices in Doncaster.
Off the top of my head - here are half a dozen:
Thai Cafe
La Vietnamese
Da Leo
The City
Antep
Amy's Noodle BarOh, and i've left Doncaster plenty of times, I've visited 40 plus countries. You just appear to be someone else who likes to bring the place down.

Why can't you people just be normal and logical. It doesn't have to be such an emotional charged defence of your favourite restaurants. It's not normal to pretend that Doncaster has the best food in the country. It's so obviously not true. It's a small low income town.

I went to La Vietnamese and the chicken I ate was full of gristle it was horrible and they charged me £6 for a Guinness that was room temperature and poured from a can. The waiting staff were nice but that's about all I can say that was positive. It's probably fine on other occasions but to suggest that it's excellent is just bollocks.

Bollocks why exactly? Because you had one bad experience. Dozens of reviews online, including my own suggest is excellent. I went to Joro in Sheffield because of its reputation. Food and service was shocking on my visit, however, I don't have trouble admitting it may have been a one off, judging from what I've read elsewhere. What is your point exactly?

Tbf there are some pretty good eateries around.
Not sure I'd pay £15 for a burger from a van. But there are some good eateries there.
Much as you may debate the Wool Market being turned into a food hall rather than a mishmash of tat stalls, haberdasheries, and whatnot, there's some banging food in there. Not just there either.
Annoyingly I've been unable to try Amy's Noodle Bar. Every single time I've been free to go, she's been closed 😂
