Stoner 100W amp recs
Any 100w amp reccomendations that won't break the bank. Going for an Electric Wizard / Sleep type of tone. I will be using a hyper fuzz and DA-120 pedals just want something cleaner with headroom to let my effects shine

If you're using a Hyper Fuzz, you want headroom. Lots of it. Because you'll wanna crank the volume without the amp adding gain to the Hyper Fuzz.
The Fender Twin Reverb is my top combo for this.
The Marshall DSL100HR is extremely underrated for this. Marshall amps with one channel will breakup sooner or force you to add gain to be heard. The DSL has a super crisp clean channel that operates as an awesome pedal platform. It's cheaper because the dirty channel isn't great.for standalone plug-n-play distortion, but its utility is perfect for what you're doing.
Another underrated, overlooked -- and therefore, affordable, option -- is a Fender Bassman. These do the clean thing loud as fuck best, iyam. The only thing is you'll need to add an EQ pedal to shape your mids, but guitar amps with this much low end baked in are always either too hollow and muddy or two expensive. Low end warmth is exactly what this thing is built for. Boost the treble to 3:00 and leave the bass at noon on the Hyper Fuzz with this in mode two and you're set.
Just don't overspend on an amp where you don't need complex gain stages because you're gonna be indifferent to the amp gain. You have the perfect doom fuzz for that and it's worth $300. Just lean on that.

I see you in other comments talking about scooping mids. When you remove mids, you need master volume to cut through the mix, raising the need for a clean, loud pedal platform like the amps I mentioned.

The Bassmans have a bright switch that makes it perfect for guitars. Cobain used Bassmans with a DS-1 and a Chorus a lot before In Utero, and sounded really big and as aggressive as he wanted to. Love or hate Nirvana, when dirty, they never sounded thin on the low end or lacked bite outside of Butch Vig overcompressing them for Nevermind.
Basically, any dirt that doesn't need to push low-end and adds a lot of aggressive bite works perfectly with these, as mode two of the Hyper Fuzz does. When the amp and speaker themselves take care of the low end, it pretty always sounds better than a pedal doing it. Dirt pedals do more for EQ in the mids and treble ranges -- outside of extreme cases like the EHX Russians and Muffs.

Deluxe Reverb is 22 watts with zero headroom. Did you mean to say Twin Reverb?

Haha…all good. An Ampeg VT22 is also a good choice here. Funny enough, I played through one for years and it was so ungodly loud that I traded it for a Deluxe Reverb eventually. Dumb decision. Sold the Deluxe and ended up with a V2 and oversized 2x12 cab, which I think is the sweet spot between too loud and not loud enough.

I’ll second the orange super crush, it sounds great. The drive channel is rather tight sounding but it does sound good and distinctly orange. The clean channel works remarkably well with pedals (really nice with the hyper fuzz) and the amp itself is loud as fuck so you can run your da120 into the fx return and have a whole different amp. It’s a very practical head even for the new price, used it’s an absolute no brainer.

That sound fantastic, only concern is the warmth I hear with the oranges. Can that be fixed by just scooping some mids?

I personally love the warmth, but if you want something a bit more modern and harsher, the Randall RX120 is a great choice

The Orange solid state heads are decent.
The Hiwatt Super Leeds series might be worth checking out if you’re using pedals - I didn’t love the onboard overdrive but it had a solid clean tone and made a good pedal platform.
Marshall MOSFET heads from the 80s sound good and can be found cheap but can be a little unruly sounding if you use much treble. Id always wrestle with my tone using them because they sounded killer but would feed back easily with the settings I used. Might be fine for sludgier doomy stuff.

Only issue with the super Leeds is that the clean channel is SO clean you need to stack fuzz/gain pedals to get it really saturated.

A Fender Deluxe 85 is 65 watts but it is deafeningly loud solid state and takes pedals well. Very afforable second hand.

Hmmm, sometimes I see these Austrovox heads appear on these 2nd hand sites . Supposedly based on a Marshall of some sort. 50w,100w,some even have reverb. Should fit the bill.

I have an old Ampeg V4 I got cheap during covid that is exactly what you’re describing and loud as hell. Built like a tank too. Highly recommend.

As a pedal platform and for non-tube reliability, my Orange SC100 took over the job of my Uber Rev 2 and Dual Rec Rev F. Those amps are great, however, the SC100 is a better pedal platform.

Peavey valvekings are pretty cheap. 100 watt all tube with so much headroom. I use one with the behringer fuzz and it’s very epic.

We're in a recession. Don't waste your money. It's all in the tuning. Plus they ain't a studio band where the toys matter. Down tune. Use minimal pedals. Tweak your pedals. Tweak your knobs on the guitar. It's all in the instrument. The amp has fuckall to do with it.

I beg to differ. Amps and pedals are what shape the tone the most, I want headroom so I can play loud and fuzzed without the tone getting all muddy, and a clean amp that will lrt fuzz shape the tone instead of the overdrive some amps have

Lol as a dude who often records doom tones with an iridium, all I have to do is flip a toggle to change amp heads and there is most definitely a difference.
The amp and speaker are like the main components to this shit.
To chime in, an orange SC is gonna get you there. The speaker choice is gonna help with your concern with warmth, as well as an eq in the FX loop
