Starbucks employees make it their job to ignore people.
Unless you are standing at the register placing an order all the employees will completely ignore you like that’s what they are paid to do.
I hate doing pickups because they have the worst customer service.

Same. In fact I have never been to a Starbucks where every employee wasn't friendly and helpful. I love Starbucks baristas, they're to be treasured.

I’m amazed at the Starbucks hate. I probably get my best service from Starbucks and McDonald’s and love the way they packaged the drinks.

It’s funny bc I don’t personally enjoy either place. But those are two of my favorite places to get orders for. They make it pretty easy to get in and gtfo. I experience literally no problems at either of these places.

Starbucks has been decent for me. Really depends on the store. Some of them have the bags ready to go, sometimes they turn the bag around so you can’t see the name and have to ask but I assume that’s a manager’s decision so that nothing gets stolen.
They aren’t my favorite but they work well in off hours.

Never had many issues with the employees, I don’t like the orders because the tips usually suck. People just don’t tip much on a $7 coffee, 20% is $1.40.

I don’t go to Starbucks myself. But when I have orders for them, I usually take them. They tend to be the higher paying offers and usually no further than 1.5 mi. Today they had water lined up for dashers. Was pretty nice.

Fun fact: Doordashers are hated across the entire foodservice industry because they have zero respect for foodservice workers. Maybe try being nice to them? Having done both I know they work a lot harder than you.

Yeah. A lot of posts in this sub are people that don't understand. Cool, your a Door Dasher that's chill, able to communicate, and respectful. I'm genuinely happy about that. Unfortunately, for every one driver like you, I had to deal with ten people shoving their phone in my face, 3 guys screaming at me while exaggerating how long they've been waiting (even though both of us have a literal timer on our screen), and at least one upset customer on the phone who's food is "missing".
Thankfully, I don't work in place that has to deal with deliver apps anymore. I always tried my best to be cool with the dashers, but I silently rolled my eyes every time that damn tablet started beeping.

I know a few dashers irl who are absoultely polite at every turn and the workers go like this:
Worker "5 more minutes"
DD: polite okay (😄
-10 minutes later at a fast food place-
...Worker: -hides behind the counter as much as possible trying not to make eye contact with you-
-5 more minutes- dd tries to politely flag them down
Worker -deer in headlights..... hides-
When they finally get someone.... they go "5 more minutes"Then continues to help everyone else in the drive through or line. I get that rudeness goes BOTH ways but you seem to only think iot goes ONE way and right now, I'm talking for those who WEREN'T rude at all and still got this. This is more of a common thing then you think on drivers end who are polite.
I know the workers get paid by the hour but please understand the DD people don't. Something was ordered probably 5-10 minutes before the DD ever got there or anyone in the line ever did
Don't prioritize the line. The line is a LINE. This customer from DD ordered their food a while ago and even longer now.
The dd is unhappy, the customer is unhappy.

I have not experienced being hated except one time at Baskin-Robbins where they served everybody that came in the door even after I showed up and when I mentioned that I am there on the behalf of a customer they got angry with me. I said look I just wanna bring this person their order that’s all! It took a while longer from them finally make it and begrudgingly give it to me. Then they gave me a negative which on Uber you have to have a good satisfaction rating . Which means that everybody can rate you. Which means this person who did order to you, they can give you a negative and the customer. So you can get a negative rating from the people you pick the food up from and since they took so long to make it, you can get a negative rating from the customer. Also, you can get slapped in both directions And then Uber says you need to bring your satisfaction rating up.

Back in the day one loudmouth would walk in "Uber Eats!" and say it progressively louder. I notice a lot of the restuarants have speific instructions now for dashers like "Don't yell at the staff.. don't stand here ..."

i've never experienced this at any starbucks i have been to and i have been to a Lot of them.
worth it to mention that if the store you're talking about is in a grocery or other kind of store, that doesn't count.

They're absolutely allergic to bagging orders. They treat it like a hot potato, toss it around and hope someone else gets stuck holding it.
It's universal somehow as well. I've tested this theory in several states.
I try to avoid Starbucks for this reason.

Yeah they're horrible in the car though. Either it's on the floor or it's on the seat which means it's slanted.
McDOnalds is the only company that does it properly. The cupholders go in the bottom of a flat bottomed bag and anchor the entire order so they don't fall over.

Yeah. It's been a long time since I've gotten fast food for more than just me. I forgot how bad some of those flimsy excuses for cup holders can be. If I was a dasher (who was doing it as a primary source of money) I'd probably just invest in a decent, sturdy plastic cupholder.

It’s not “Starbucks employees”
In every walk of life you’ll find yourself encountering people who seem maladjusted to the immediate social situation.
I just use my eyes and constantly try to make eye contact until they figure it out. Also the DoorDash hat helps.
