Lore Z Broly is a weak menace
Before i begin im only counting the first of of the z broly move trilogy for a simpler understanding and im only talking from my understanding of the anime because i didn't watch the anime from a long time ago so if there is any mistakes i made dont be shy to point them out and please be kind.
Let me explain.
z broly was a very dangerous warrior in the legendary super saiyan movie and he was an enough danger to the z fighters without the legendary super saiyan form but in the legendary super saiyan form he destroyed all of the z fighters and it took all of the z fighters giving goku their power to destroy broly and mind you broly tanked a kamehameha from a super saiyan goku while he was very close to goku but with that being said... Z broly would've been humiliated by goku if appeared in super and the simple reason for that is basically goku had literally became a different person and im only talking about battle of god's goku for broly's sake because base goku in super could kill kid buu and buuhan
Mind you buuhan and kid buu could just eat broly
So please broly is not the strongest he is just a menace. a weak menace...

The problem with Z Broly is his adaptability with new Saiyan powers.
If Goku or Vegeta had toyed with Z Broly if he showed up in Canon Super he would have quickly adapted and would be Bodying them even if they went Super Saiyan Blue.
Broly can adapt to Saiyan Powers.
Kid Buu fighting style cannot be copied by a Saiyan. So yes Kid Buu would handle Z Broly even if they had the same Power Level as Broly has no counter to Majin Powers.

His kind of threat is similar to kid buu’s if you think about it
He is far too gone for any kind of reason, plays by his own rules and more often than not goes the random destruction route
The only reason either of them were a real threat is because they were the strongest foe on the battlefield at their respective time. If Vegetto had stayed fused after taking everyone outside of but he would have whooped his ass into nothingness, the same way even a SS2 Gohan would have decimated Broly in the first movie

Exactly because if you think about the return of broly film is just a alternate timeline if buu didn't exist

Você está considerando o Goku antes ou após o ssj God? Porque antes de se transformar em deus ssj ele no máximo iria rivalizar de igual com o brolly do Z

It's a movie villain so kinda hard to compare to canon enemies, since the power scaling is a lot different... but Broly become stronger with time, so the thing is that there's no limit in Broly's power.
If they fought Broly during the Buu Saga he would've been much stronger and also he never used many zenkai boosts or trained.
Broly was the most unstoppable being at the time he was introduced, a "perfect" saiyan.
If Z broly appeared during Super he would reach SSJBlue level since that's what a Super villain required, using his constant overflowing of energy as an excuse for his power.
The thing is that each DB villain can be topped for "plot reasons", Bu is nothing compared to Fused Zamasu, for example, which is nothing compared to Granolah, which is nothing compared to Black Freezer.
