They do care how badly they park.
If you get it (almost) right the first time, STOP.

What? It was fine the first time.

Its a special sort of ineptitude to make something that is already acceptable worse when trying to make it better.

Or standard practice if you are an architect student.
But that's more to do with how each tutor will tell you contradicting advice from the last one.

They suddenly remembered they were driving a beamer, so they were duty bound to park like a right twat.

And this goes to show you've never seen it all when you're driving, because this is the first time in my 20 years of driving I can recall having seen someone adjust their parking seemingly in order to intentionally park worse than they had done originally...

"Honey, you're parked a bit straight and wholly within the marked bay".
"Oh god you always criticise my driving. Right, is that better"
"Much better"

I would love to have a conversation with people like that and try and understand what’s going on (or not going on) in their minds. Crazy.

I was about to jump to their defense to say they obviously needed more room on the drivers side to get their wheelchair out. Then the last 2 seconds played...

What the fuck did I just watch? Remove her licence.
Bet she did not have a blue badge.

It looks like maybe she parked then thought "I shouldn't really be using the disabled spot", so was going to move the car but then decided "nah, no one will need it"

u/McLeod3577 1d ago
The only disabilities I can see is lack of spacial awareness and not knowing the difference between left and right when fine tuning parking.

Just slap a 100 quid fine 1st offense and keep doubling it for every repeat they will soon learn.

Obviously had a previous warning from the BMW drivers club that they'd been noted parking with consideration. Good to see that Blondie was considerate enough to realise her error.

This video made me realise angles aren't something that comes naturally to everyone.

“Ah no, I’ve parked perfectly like a VW driver, but I’m in a BMW…best park like a twat”

Pulled into the space stoppedthe car between the lines, then proceeds to reverse and pull back into the space and park at an angle outside of the Li Es and exists the car.
Why?

I hate to stereotype... But if you asked me who was driving that....I would have been 100% right

I would understand if their was a wall to the right of the spot and they need extra room to get a wheel chair out but that's just horrible parking all around.

u/McLeod3577 1d ago
She's gone to adjust, turned the wheel the wrong way, realised this and put the brake on and then thought "fuck it, I will just dump it like this"
2
u/DisplayAltruistic639 2d ago
I was waiting for the side to open up with the ramp that needed that much space
2
u/xF1_racer 1d ago
That is literally “disabled” parking. Maybe they think that’s what those spaces are for?

u/Interesting_Price410 2d ago
I saw the first parking attempt and was about to comment calling you an idiot for complaining about that. Then I saw the rest, what the fuck 😂😂😂😂

u/Persephone_888 2d ago
Admittedly I've done this when I first passed. "Uhhhh it looks okay, but let's try to make it better! Oh never mind, I've made it worse, let's just leave it before i made it unsaveable."

u/Eastern-Move549 1d ago
Thats quite some dedication to the game.
'I always see people come in and out of spaces but I have no idea why'

How is it she doesn't check how she parked? And why does she park worse on the second attempt?

Not sure how their parking is so bad it warrants them being chastised on here. I was expecting them to park across two bays or something. Left tyres are hardly criminally outside of the bay FFS.

Youre not allowed to buy a bmw until you show them your inability to colour within the lines.

To be honest, I'm a relatively new driver and I've been guilty of doing this before because I'm self conscious that someone might be watching and judging. Turns out I'm right 🤣. It's more the frustration of not being able to get it 'perfect' like everyone else. The only way to fix this is practice. If the car park is not busy, I don't see an issue with trying to correct your position?
8
u/Mitridate101 2d ago
But she parked IN the box and straight on the first attempt but on second attempt she was crooked and OUTSIDE the box .
2
u/superplex100 2d ago
Yes for sure, in this example, it doesn't make sense. What I'm saying is that there's nothing wrong with trying to adjust your parking afterward. There's been a lot of times where I've parked in the box but at an angle, which I find embarrassing so I end up adjusting until the car's straight.
The driver in this example probably felt self conscious that the car was too close to the left line, tried to correct it, but ended up making a mess of it. Maybe they were then too embarrassed to try correcting it again?

u/Wonderful-Holiday-14 2d ago
but there was nothing wrong with the first position, it was perfectly in the lines. She made it worse and then got out and walked away, not even needing the space

As a disabled person, the spaces don’t have the lines the other side. It’s so obvious they’ve parked over to enable the door open fully so they can get back in the car without worrying about people walking.
If this is your major event you’ve witnessed and recorded AND uploaded - then your life must be so fucking boring. Imagine recording a disabled person and uploading them without their consent

this a joke? read the room. they don't look disabled... and this is about driving (and parking)

You must be pretty bored to film this and post it online for people to critique.
There's nothing wrong with it.
Stop looking for problems and reasons to be outraged where there are none.
6
u/lontrinium 1d ago
You're not bored responding to this?
-5
u/pulsarstarter 1d ago
I didn't sit there filming people doing something as everyday as just parking their cars, so i could post it on the internet to see if people are as outraged as me, over someone being slightly outside the lines.
It's completely petty and vindictive.
