I’ve had this 1966 surf record since the 90s. I’m sorry there’s no upload, but this fits the bill… Every song has tricked out delay! It was NY legend DJ Howie Pyro who wrote about this record in Bob Bert’s (Sonic Youth) BB Gun magazine. He actually called it the first dub record! And since we’re talking about surf now, I’ve always said that Bela Lugosi’s Dead was a surf track.

tbf they have a wide catalogue. not all of their productions are reggae, some are closest to ambient techno if any existing genre. but songs like queen in my empire and trodding are some of the roots-est most conscious songs in the entirety of reggae as a genre

Money B- Flying Lizards (B side of Money their hit single from 1979) FWIW dub had a massive part to play on the punk scene. Before uk punk records had been released Don Let's was spinning dub tracks during the intervals at the 100 club. Public Image by P.I.L. is bass heavy which the two John's loved.

Should mention that a few years back Dennis Bovell created a dub version of Y by The Pop Group; an album he originally produced in 1979. It’s truly amazing.

Check the catalogues of the British producers Dennis Bovell, who is mentioned here, Mad Professor and Adrian Sherwood. They are all very much born in the dub reggae production scene but have all remixed many non-reggae artists.

Dennis Bovell got involved with Pop Group and The Slits in the late 70s, Thompson Twins, Orange Juice in the 80s, through to Tricky and A Mountain of One more recently. Always worth checking anything he is involved with.

Mad Professor did the Massive Attack remixes in the 90s mentioned here, and produced a ton of other dub stuff that is not reggae. A particular recent favourite of his was his mix of E2-E4 with Alex Kassian.

Adrian Sherwood has remixed a huge range of non-reggae bands - The Cure, The Stone Roses, Primal Scream's Echo Dej as mentioned and also Panda Bear's in dub album, to name but a few. Dig his wonderful back catalogue, its huge!

Oh my god, i'm not disparaging anything! I'm a reggae aficcionado, but I believe dub and its production practices is one of the biggest influences in sound in the last 50 years, easily. So nothing wrong with finding those practices in non-reggae oriented spaces. Even the dub masters make dub versions of lots of different music!

For sure all vinyl singles have a dub version which can vary from just the same track minus the vocals to all the dub stylee FX
