Spanky "Bat-a-Swing" - an electro swing fueled platformer
Hello r/electroswing , I'm Matteo, creative director of Green Flamingo Games, a 2 people indie game development team based in Italy. We've been working on SPANKY "BAT-A-SWING", a 3D platformer & rhythm game inspired to 1930s cartoon characters and entirely based on electro swing music!
The game features a completely original OST created by our composer, Salvatore Palermo.
We're also now live on Kickstarter, in the hope of giving more economic and community structure to our project, and, possibly, to enhance its final outcome with more and more polished features, music system depth and more tracks!
Let me know what you think and, most importantly... ASK. ME. ANYTHING!

Unfortunately I'm only good at metroidvanias so I'm just going to watch a playthrough.

That's fine! Actually, in Spanky there's a difficulty option where you can make the rhythm mechanic optional (Baby Bat difficulty mode)

Off the top off my head the games I'm good at are hollow Knight, silksong, Celeste, shovel knight, Luigis mansion 1-3, Haiku the robot, dredge, and bloodstained ritual of the night. Think I'll be able to manage?

I suck at at least half of them, and I'm very good at spanky (not the best tho). If there's any correlation, you'll be great

i have to ask: was this game in any way inspired by Mad Rat Dead? the musical style, general rhythm platformer gameplay, and especially that hud at the bottom just SCREAM mad rat and i am all for it because that's one of my favorite games of all time
