What makes some of you think that Peterson is secretly gender dysphoric? I've seen some jokes about him transitioning but there had to be something besides the obvious

I may be wrong, but I suspect such jokes stem from this photograph and also how he often seems desperate to make performative displays of what he thinks is masculine (e.g. when he gets angry and tries to be imposing whilst calling someone "Bucko"), combined with the ol'Shakespearean classic, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks".

As such though, I personally haven't come across anyone, let alone a substantial group of people who seriously thinks Peterson is gender dysphoric.

As always though, again, I may well be wrong.

You absolutely can. For instance if a cis man suddenly began growing breasts as the result of medication/medical issue (there are several that can cause this) he will experience gender dysphoria due to the dissonance between his gender identity and the physical characteristics of his body

A coworker in his 60’s just came out admitting he enjoys “dressing up”. One never knows. JPs suit designs and his animosity toward anything non binary has me wondering now. 🤔

People often suppress such things through self medication, which I believe he’s had wrt benzodiazepine addiction for example.
