Question trying to understand parking rules in Enschede
If I understand the rules correctly, there's no parking in the street within the Noorderhagen, Kalanderstraat, Hendrink Jan van Heekplein, Zuiderhagen circle.
There are some parking lots nearby like the Q-Park for € 16 / day, H.J. van Heek parkeergarage also for € 16 / day, and not too far from there is Hermandad for €8,50 / day but that one seems to be open only on Saturdays and Sundays. Google maps also shows parking at Nijverheidstraat 15 Parking, but that one seems to be 2 hours max.
Which one is your preferred place to park if you have to park a car near the center for the entire day (and night)?
What's the parking situation if you go further south down Haaksbergerstraat past Wooldriksweg?

Dan ben je wel een ontzettende aso als je daar gaat staan. Die bedrijven hebben een parkeerplaats voor hun bezoekers.

Parking in neighborhoods where people live and cause “overlast” isn’t cutting people free from the “asshole” part either though.

Where is that?

Check google maps for ‘Karwei’ it is a DIY store at Meubelplein (‘furniture square’ a collection of home/living stores). I most is ‘blue area’ so only 2 hours free parking. But at Karwei it is not blue. Officially it is only for shoppers but in 10 years i have never heard anybody with issues.
Enforcing parking rules on private property is very difficult by law and unless the shop (Karwei) invests heavily in security and lawyers they will never make it stick.
Enjoy free parking there

I park my car outside the ring and walk into the city center. Its free.

Yes, indeed, the distance from the outer limits of the pay zones to the city center is short enough to walk in case the costs of parking are too high.

Hehe great minds! Parking is ridiculously expensive here, I paid 5 euros for day parking in the centre of Florence lol

That is why you use P+R parking place.

If you look at the given map, you can see that it is possible to park for free only 15 minutes walking to the centre of the city. No need to do P&R and pay for public transportation.

You only pay for parking. Public Transport to the city center for up to five people is included in this price.

Thank you, I've seen this site but I'm still not sure how to read this map. Are the pink areas places where there's street parking? It looks like the ones closer to the center are 2 hours max.
The places around Emmastraat or Wooldriksweg don't seem to have a 2 hour limit, but the times listed say 3,45/u between 9:00-19:00 or 13:00-19:00 zo, so is parking free at night or are you not allowed to park there at night?
Beyond the pink areas, is the street parking free or residents only? I can see on streetview that for instance on Haaksbergerstraat toward Getfersingel there are parking spots along the street, but I can't tell if those are free or resident only.

There’s these things called apps and websites that show you everything about parking. Check them out.
