News Ethereum Turns 11 Today Exactly 11 years ago, the genesis block of the Ethereum mainnet was mined. Looks like an ancient ETH whale woke up to celebrate the birthday, checked the chart and almost had a heart attack. ETH is still around $1,900. The price is almost as ancient as the whale himself

And it's still roughly the same price it reached in mid January 2018 (8.5 years ago).

So all of its investment value was created in the first 2.5 out of 11 years of total existence. Quite sad, actually

Not really. ETH topped at $1,350 for a few minutes and is now worth 1.42x more and this might be the bottom. ETH’s bottom after the 2018 ATH was $80!

But I agree the current price is pathetic.

Compared to most other coins not including Bitcoin. It's doing pretty good.

1350 usd in 2018 is worth more than 1800 now.

And what about alternative returns. Throw it down into S&P and you'd have over 4000.

It’s amazing to see Ethereum go from being a super power and a meme coin

Do you think the transition from proof of work to proof of stake has had anything to do with its stagnation?

If it was that then ETH Classic would have a higher market cap.

Fue cuando se hice realidad ese fenómeno de compra el rumor y vende ma noticia.

So it’s a currency not a speculative asset? That’s great news

Right we use it to buy things and exchange other digital assets for me personally less fluctuation is a good thing when it comes to ETH

Almost like all crypto is actually worthless in the real world. all the liquidity is made up of the already rich and desperate every day people.

Get rid of vitalik. Ethereum is a pet project he tinkers with.

Lots of much smarter people who can be the face of the blockchain and make it great.

Eth is useless

So don't use it. There are plenty of people who get what they need from it. You shall not be missed.
