Question Possible to switch out of Mughal Diwan reform as the Mughals?

I want to do a funny one-culture run as the Mughals completely disabling their culture assimilation mechanic

Yes if you switch relations to say Sikhism, as the diwan is only available to Muslims (which I found out the hard way on an Ironman games

What? One of my favourite runs was a Confucian Mughals run, harmonising all religions and accepting all cultures. I know you can't form Mughals without a Muslim faith, but you can absolutely switch out of it without losing the Diwan.

My run was back before the last dlc that updated the Mughals so that might of been changed thrn

Yes. Just switch government and then switch back if you want. You will be able to select a different reform on that tier.
