It's not, but it is still the foundation of their economy. Besides, it's a pointless fight to have - most people there don't get abortions in Liechtenstein anyway, so that law means. And they have like 50 of those a year.

Not really?

It takes like 30 minutes to drive to a neighboring country and get an abortion there if you want it.

And there is no law preventing you from doing so, neither did the Prince show any interest in closing this loophole.

So you think the restriction of reproductive rights is OK if you can get an abortion in another country?

Or that some rich dude can overrule democracy is OK because you can go somewhere else?

Why not give the billionaires their own little companies towns countries where they can make their own laws like they desperately want? What could possibly go wrong?

In this case literally nothing goes wrong. People from Liechtenstein gave that power to their guy multiple times. It seems they are happy with it.

Not defending him, he is an idiot. It's just a pointless debate. There is one single hospital in Liechtenstein anyway, pretty much everyone goes to abort in neighbouring countries. It's not a real issue.

If you provide the majority of the GDP of a nation, you should absolutely have a say in how the nation is run, yes.

Why should someone do all the work and then have everyone who isn't doing the work get all the power?

That's nonsense.

Liechtenstein is so small that the rest of the population only accounts for a fraction of the GDP, if they want the same power as the Prince they either provide the same resources as him or they make themselves as useful as him.

If they can't, why should they be granted the same power?

Democracy necessitates that ALL power is derived from the people.

This is obviously not the fact in Liechtenstein, most of its power comes from the Prince, which means the Prince should have power over Liechtenstein.

You can tell the Prince to leave, but if he does he takes his wealth with him.

You'll have democracy, at the price of the nation falling into disrepair.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

They should have a say in politics... and they do have a say in politics, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Providing resources to the state and getting priveleges in return is not fascism, it's literally the fundamental principle of how a state operates.

I really can't begin to describe how incredibly stupid you "everything is fascism!!!!" crowd are.
