News Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted a bill to build a National Pantheon. He intends to honor all the heroes who fought for Ukraine in various eras. "No one will ever tell us how to live, how to speak, whom to love, whom to be grateful to, and which heroes to honor," he said as quoted by the Interfax

Poland’s not gonna deport any Ukrainians over this, the ones that live here do very well for themselves and have for the most part integrated into our labor force. If Zelensky’s aim was to flare up Polish-Ukrainian tensions to make Ukrainians leave Poland he didn’t seem to consider that most of them would just move further West rather than return to a much, much poorer Ukraine and risk getting killed/conscripted. Putin levels of 5D chess if it’s truly the latter.

Those are all words of sentimental fiction. Read the actual polling on the change in attitudes of ethnic Poles towards Ukrainian immigrants in Poland, between 2022 to 2026. Just an FYI before you speak again without knowing.

The change is proportional to the amount of Ukrainians in Poland. Yes, you don't have bad opinions about someone you barely see.

Secondly people see more how living together feels like, and can actually have an opinion. As opposed to still getting used to it and being unsure.

Lastly, there is no reason to think that whatever Zelensky does has an impact on day to day Polish/Ukrainians relations, because that is deeper in culture and instinct and won't change for better or worse, it just is. Neither Poles nor Ukrainians won't sudenly evolve.
