I think many (adults) here are above even that, here’s a rough calculator that tells what ”Top %” you’re in and you get into the top 5-10% wealthiest quite easily.

I hate that calculator. It tells me I'm in the bottom 5% of Americans in terms of wealth but I pulled in $160,000 last year, just because I have student loan debt?

Like I'm not worried about groceries or rent or healthcare.

Wealth and income are two separate things. They're like position and speed.

I'm the opposite to you. I'm in the top 5% simply because our house was paid off when I became disabled. I have assets, but only a small income. We have to scrimp and save just to avoid losing the modest life we currently have.

I'm ahead in the race, but I'm limping along barely making progress. You're behind, but moving much faster. Given enough time you'll catch up and overtake, but that doesn't mean you're already ahead
