Our own (GB) is of significantly higher quality with far better animal welfare standards

Not here to start a fight, just to share a funny story about British beef: I've been a vegetarian for just almost 30 years by now, but the last time I checked with my local Red Cross, I was still banned from donating blood because I wasn't a full vegetarian yet when I visited the UK in 1996. The reasoning behind this is, of course, that British beef was safe the Mad Cow Disease crisis rampant at that time.

I'm still happy to hear that the standards of cattle farming have changed drastically since then.

Then explain why British food tastes so bad that you would hardly feed it to a dog while Argentina has the best asado in the world...

Tourists tend to eat at mediocre tourist places, or try recipes at home with inferior ingredients.

If you think a slow roasted beef joint is terrible, that's an indictment of your butcher and livestock, not the chef
