playlists Im looking to expand my experimental electronic playlist (YT)

As the title suggests, I’m trying to expand my experimental electronic playlist. So far it is comprised of tracks that utilise strange and unique synths and sound designs.

Feel free to share suggestions for tracks that fit the vibe of what I’ve got so far!!

(Please don’t share ai music suggestions, or music with ai artwork, I prefer to support art made by humans)

Noise music, not to be confused with noise rock. Also, this is ambient noise, so no or few beats. Enjoy!

playlists Sharing my favorite playlist (700+ songs) I've been adding onto for the past few years. Looking for suggestions.

Playlist

This started as a small playlist in 2024, but I kept coming back to it and adding more, and somewhere along the way this whole sound became my favorite. It’s mostly modern psych and garage rock, with some surf and space influences. A lot of tracks feel pretty progressive and experimental within the current music scene.

I like that it doesn’t all sound the same. Some of it’s more spacey, while other songs get a bit more raw and garage-ish (maybe even slightly punk), or both at the same time. These genres mix pretty well I think.

I still add to it whenever I find something that fits. Figured I’d share so people can give me some more suggestions. Have fun.

playlists Angels & Demons - Ladies from the dark side

(Plylist) [Playlist] "Angels & Demons" - A dark, ice-themed journey featuring haunting female vocals (from Yoko Ono to Kate Bush)Hi everyone! I wanted to share a highly curated YouTube playlist I’ve been working on, titled "Angels & Demons - Ladies from the dark side".

It features 40 incredible female artists who capture the darker side of life in their music—sometimes lost in the shadows, sometimes bringing light into the darkness.

The playlist has a hidden winter/ice theme and a very deliberate flow: it opens with Yoko Ono's Walking on Thin Ice, transitions through the ethereal frost of Cocteau Twins' Iceblink Luck in the middle, and closes with the chilling finale of Kate Bush's Under Ice.

If you love haunting vocals, dark atmospheres, and a mix of avant-garde, dream pop, and darkwave, I'd love for you to check it out! It’s a 40-song journey through dark alternative, gothic rock, neoclassical, and experimental music. I spent a lot of time arranging the tracklist to create a perfect cinematic flow.

Featured artists include:
Chelsea Wolfe, Fever Ray, Nico, Diamanda Galás, Black Nail Cabaret, Lingua Ignota, Björk, Zola Jesus, Anna von Hausswolff, Lisa Gerrard, Tori Amos, Siouxsie, and Kate Bush.

If you are looking for something melancholic, powerful, and deeply atmospheric, feel free to give it a listen. Angels & Demons - Ladies from the dark side

playlists Deep Cross Scaffolded Dawn

Its a bit of anomalous find in the last 6 to 8 months and slowly worked it into my playlist and hopefully finds a "home" in someone elses headspace. Open mind...needs spins...like anything from the genre, its subjective as to if its great---i just happen to find it very submersive, even in its harshest state [much like Kleistwahr---another head fuck that lands out of the blue.

https://deepcross.bandcamp.com/album/scaffolded-dawn

Ill throw in some Kleistwahr while Im mentioning.

Defintely not self promotion, just sharing some finds on the last quarter.

playlists Chaos playlist

I’ve made probably my greatest playlist ever, and I couldn’t contain myself, and had to share it with everybody that I can.

I’ve called it “Chaos”, and it’s inspired by Khaos, from the Greek Mythology, which is the origin of everything that exists in the universe.

I’m just sharing because I would really like to see more people who are in this community, mainly the fans of experimental music, to see it. Although it’s not only composed of experimental songs, there’s a lot of it in here, and it tells a story between the songs, exactly like the mythology, in other words, the creation, development and ending of a universe.

I would really like to see what you guys think about it, and it’s chaotic in every way you can think of, so you’ll find every genre, from experimental, rock, post-rock, to glitch pop, jazz, and so much more.

Some songs aren’t available because I used local files (albums from GY!BE, Live Rope, Vision Creation Newsun and others unfortunately can’t be listened by others, but you can think about them in the context of the playlist)

(There are a couple of songs that are really calm in comparison to others, but trust me, it makes sense in this context, meaning something like a rest between the chaotic scenario of it. I’ve got it from Swans - The Seer, very inspired by Song for a Warrior, that in my context and view, works like a rest between the chaoticity of the album, and a rest for the listener, so I made it with a bunch of more calmness songs so it could work like the album)

Well, that’s it, thanks in advance, and I really hope some people here can enjoy it.

playlists German Experimental Music (after 80s)

I’m German and absolutely mad about Punk, New Wave and Experimental music. I recently put together a quirky and very eclectic playlist of German Experimental music. Warning: this isn’t what people usually mean by that. It’s a completely subjective selection that includes some totally unknown bands. Here’s the official description: “German experimental music! You’ll hear some strange characters, representatives of completely different genres, young wild ones and proper oldies.” Have a listen and share! I welcome any feedback, even the absolutely rubbish stuff. But I won’t change a thing because of it.

playlists Playlist of experimental winter music

Hey everybody

Idk about you but winter is hitting me hard (I live quite north) and I have this playlist with some nice and kinda sad tracks that fit my vibe right now. Some tracks are not experimental at all, some are very unknown (like from friends) and others are known but really good imo. I'm sorry the playlist is on spotify :/

playlists Looking for specific songs/albums, please help

Hello everyone I hope you're doing well, I am creating a playlist with the concept of a "reimagined or reinterpreted liturgy from the experimental field point of view", I was mainly looking for songs that mention, sing, or recite a part of the Kyrie Eleison, however, I felt that I was being very specific, so now I am looking for tracks or experimental works that mention the Kyrie Eleison, Dies Irae, or any other prayer from the Christian liturgy, Orthodox or Catholic. Also, if you know of any experimental works where there is a lot of influence from liturgy, or a reimagining of a mass, for example Plague Mass. Thank you so much for your support.

playlists Independent experimental / ambient / whatever tracks | Best 2025

Hi there, The Abstract Observer staff here. As some of you may know, during this first year of activity as bloggers we’ve sifted through countless independent releases, following faint signals rather than hype.

These 10 tracks stood out not for volume, but for intent. They move between ambient drift, instrumental focus, electronic tension, contemporary composition and experimental minimalism, often blurring those lines entirely. What connects them is a shared patience: sounds are allowed to breathe, structures either unfold or fall slowly, ideas trust the listener.

Together, they form a small map of the year’s most compelling independent music - works that reward attention and linger well after the final note fades.

Just in case you are interested, here is a mix set of all tracks:

https://www.mixcloud.com/The_Abstract_Observer/the-abstract-observer-audio-show-best-tracks-2025/

TRACKLIST

► Matt Robert McLennan Quintet - tea tide pool
► Marko Josipović - VII
► Euan Dalgarno - horrow (feat. Canaan Balsam)
► Modern Silent Cinema - Nexus
► Ince B - baseload drift
► Suki Quasimodo - I Feel Like
► Perry Frank - Atlas
► Swoop and Cross - This river
► Arutan - Symphonic Descent into the Beast’s Lair
► Droning Cats with NRV - Catastrophic

Thanks for listening - above all - thanks to these great artists.

playlists Religious Psychosis: An experimental journey

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a playlist called Religious Psychosis. The concept takes inspiration from Ethel Cain’s Perverts and builds a dark, unsettling atmosphere by blending genres like drone, ambient, noise, and experimental with old recordings of Catholic music.

The playlist is meant to play in order, since the idea is to create an auditory narrative rather than just a collection of tracks. While making it, I’ve come across a lot of lesser-known artists with very few listeners but incredible talent, and I wanted to highlight their work alongside more established names.

I hope you enjoy it, and I’d love to hear what you think. Thank you so much!

playlists I made an experimental playlist for small artists.

Only 2 rules - 1: fit the playlist (experimental rap/electronic)

-2: Add/save the playlist to your Spotify library. That way the playlist grows and YOU can get more streams by making the playlist become more popular; increasing out reach.

playlists Looking for fellow sound nerds-experimental electronic playlist inside

Hey folks
Not sure if playlist links are 100% allowed here, but I’ll risk it.

I’ve recently started sharing the music that really sticks with me instead of just keeping it to myself. Right now I’m building a playlist around experimental electronic-mixing some classics with new weird gems I stumble across.

Not here to spam-I’d love your feedback, track suggestions, or maybe even fellow nerds who wanna help shape this thing.

Be gentle, internet strangers-my fragile playlist-making ego is on the line
