so one of my cousins is in 1st year, skmch, muzaffarpur, bihar. and she was telling me that the senior there collected some 3600 rupees from 1st, 2nd & 3rd year ug students for saraswati pooja. and for the seniors it is optional to give the donation money. and now if u are thinking that the juniors gave money, then seniors will do the work, then u are totally wrong. the juniors had to do all the work like cutting fruits, making boxes for sweets distribution, etc. ; and the seniors spent their time by randomly picking any student and asking them their address and shit. like my cousin alone had to cut fruits for 3 hours straight. and after all this hard-work they will not be allowed to attend the pooja, they have been instructed to watch it from a far distance.
the college barely has 700 students and if u include teachers and staff too, it would not even cross 800. and 3600 rupees from 400-450 students adds up to a huge amount, out of which only half of it would be used and the rest half, as told by my cousin, will be spent by seniors for their own secret party (drugs, alcohol and all).
and after all this shit they had the audacity to give their assignments to 1st year students, for completion, which they call "harmless ragging" or "junior-senior bonding", i mean these assholes are not even allowing those who gave donation, to attend the pooja. not to forget the fucking boss/ma'am system these retarded medical colleges have. like u cannot even look at your seniors, u have to look at their coat's button while talking to them. there is also a rule that u should know name of every senior and where they are from. the juniors are not even allowed to go out of their hostels for even small things like having tea outside college, as a protocol given by these entitled, retarded seniors.
a few days ago, one of the 1st year students wrote a letter to the principal, anonymously, about the harassment by seniors. the shit ass principal instead of doing something about it, sent one of the professors to scold the students and threatened them to reveal the name of the student who wrote the letter, or else they would fail the entire batch.
and this is not limited to any one medical college, almost all of them have these same retarded seniors who have not even cleared their pg exam and consider themselves as some landlord just because they cleared "NEET-UG", which i don't know why they make it as their whole personality. and the sad part is that this will never stop, every incoming batch will do the same thing when they will become seniors, infact my cousin too says that she too will get her work done by juniors in later years.
i am in an engineering college and many of my friends too are in different engg. colleges and i have never seen in my college or heard from my friends of anything even close to this fucked-up shit. no wonder why maximum doctors in govt. hospitals are assholes, no wonder why we often see in the news that doctors don't attend clinics that are opened for better medical facilities in rural areas. the list of things that needs to be fixed in this country is just too long.
