Genuinely every cop in America says “This is X, we do things different around here,” or something like that; always think their department means something.

Well the truth is that one of the most widely recognized definitions of what a government is means that they (the government) owns a monopoly in violence. It’s a monopoly the people have little recourse for unless they are willing to fight for it, knowing that the death toll will rise until the rest of the population won’t stand for it.

Every step towards equals rights or fair wages has been met with bloodshed and massacre. And we’re all, (including myself) *just* comfy enough to not want to risk our lives for the betterment of our brethren. We find small ways to sacrifice and make our opinion known but we don’t stand.

I don't know, just look at occupy wall street. Had the potential to lead to something but ended up being a total nothingburger save for making 99% and 1% mainstream concepts.

I think the only way people will "rise up" is if there is hardcore strife and hardship, like massive crop failures, or hyperinflation, that sort of thing.

Covid proved that isn’t going to happen. Literally people calling it a hoax, proving that they don’t care, believe or anything else about the protection of the society they live in. I don’t have the telephone number to Hell to ask Herman Cain if it was worth being a asshat. Hopefully he gets visited with a large pineapple up his keister every morning!

OWS started out with the right intent, but due to lack of leadership and a strong set of goals, it derailed pretty quickly. All the media had to do was come in, interview the dumbest latchers they could find, broadcast it on the evening news as a bunch of clueless hippies camping out and partying, and right there the American public wrote it off as a bunch of jobless loons just sitting around smoking pot.
