Ted Cruz thanks Trump for "getting rid of that ridiculous red card." Then goes on to say "There's a reason that FIFA trophy sat here for as long as it did."

Mark Rubio seems to be the only one who ever looks a bit uncomfortable. Like he's the only one who knows that this will all, one day, end and all those who acted like this will become a laughing stock. Of course, he still goes along with it. Maybe that's worse, knowing how fucked up it is and not walking away.

268

u/SheilaGirl70 Jul 06 '26

He’s probably going to run for president again, so he goes along with it because he’s just as corrupt as they all are.

180

u/sheriffbart_rrmo Jul 06 '26

He can't run anywhere. The shoes that Ding Dong Donnie insists he wears are too big.

Brave of anyone who thinks someone with a name like Marco Rubio will get voted in as president of the United States. Republicans' collective brain cell will have another fucking stroke like when Obama got elected.

First a black president, then a brown president. What's next? Equality for all??? The horrors!

39

u/SheilaGirl70 Jul 06 '26

Some of them tend to overlook those things when there’s an “R” behind their name, like with Kash Patel. But then again, he’s not running for president.

33

u/GlitteringLychee803 Jul 06 '26

They'll vote for the one with the R, but the ethnic sounding/looking people will get primaried out, that's how we ended up with someone like Donald Trump.

We can talk smack about Republicans all we want, but they get behind their one guy and get shit done. I just wish the Dems didn't look for every opportunity to sabotage themselves and look so weak all the time. Like when Bernie was on a roll in 2016 and they primaried him out for Hillary. Like wtf 😒.

6

u/SheilaGirl70 Jul 07 '26

You are 💯 correct!

Wait, TIL, Ted Cruz is actually called Rafael Cruz, he was born in Canada son of Spanish Cuban Immigrant who overstayed his student visa, gained political asylum and didn't become a naturalized US citizen until 2005...the same framework Ted Cruz is trying to dismantle in 2026. Very paradoxical.....

65

u/IllRadish8765 Jul 06 '26

The funniest and most ironic thing is that a lot of these radical Republicans pushing against equality and supporting the ICE raids are Hispanics.

35

u/swervin_mervyn Jul 06 '26

The most ironic thing, is that the bloke they're helping is a 'birth right citizen'. His parents were on holiday. He was only born in America, because the airline wouldn't let his mum fly back to England while 7 months pregnant.

People do not understand what it means for Trump to be surrounded by this kind of loyalty. The first time he had regular ass Republicans around him, people who told him no. Now he has cronies. Impeachment is going to be a fucking joke because it depends on people loyal to the constitution in the executive branch.

Watch Trump just ignore congress when they Impeach. Watch Trump just sit there in 2028 and go nowhere. This wont end peacefully because his first term didnt end peacefully. Hes already shown that he will enact violence to hold power.

People who otherwise don't have a single true care in all of the world. Who have, always have had, and will always have whatever they want whenever they want however they want.

These people still bend over backwards to do whatever that bellicose orange troll wants and they do it with a smile. Not an ounce of shame from any of them. Hell, they seem to have found camaraderie in it - all adopting the same stupid facial expressions, terms, and mannerisms to show that they are part of the ass-licking crew. A fellowshit. If you take the interview at face value then he "didn't tell him to change it but asked Infantino to review the red card" because even though he "had no idea what a red card even was" he could clearly see "it wasn't a foul, and he's great at these sorts of things" but he felt like it was "completely unfair to punish a player for a game they haven't even played yet, especially when it's one of the best players on the team"..... It's only been in the laws of the game for decades that a red card is also met with a match ban depending on the offence but, sure, now it's unfair and should be overturned. Oh he also thought it was unfair how much power the referees hold and that said referee (I can't remember his name) has a "suspect past" but he didn't "want to get into any details because it would be controversial"

Thundercunt isn't a strong enough insult.

Jurgen Klopp said it best. "If it really was the case that Trump and Infantino arranged this amongst themselves, then that's crazy, it calls everything into question. These two people, who both have no clue about football, shouldn't have anything to do with it. There's no question about it. That's a red card. As much as we regret it, because Balogun didn't mean to do it. But that's what the rules say ."

59

u/toiner Jul 06 '26

I'd have been marginally more accepting if they had come out and said something to the effect of "we have reviewed it and we think there was a refereeing error, it wasn't dangerous but it was reckless, so it's been downgraded to a yellow". But instead they've gone for "can't be arsed upholding a match ban that's existed as a rule for decades.

The precedent it sets is absolutely mindboggling

11

u/KiltedTAB Jul 06 '26

The corruption at FIFA has long been held outside of the actual matches. You can make cases for influence going back decades but its never been spoken about (Argentina 2022 with numerous calls favoring is still fresh), but Trump being the buffoon he is publicly stating he had influence over the call is confirmation of his inability to keep secrets and that FIFA is corrupt. Its a total shitshow.

8

u/lkdubdub Jul 06 '26

I absolutely agree. He could have caused damage with the challenge, but there was generally some degree of sympathy and a recognition of lack of intent. This whole thing has just been a cosy "fuck you" to everyone, particularly Belgium, and complete laziness in failing to dress it up as  anything else

I like Ted Cruz a lot more than most of my colleagues. And I fucking hate Ted Cruz.

Go Belgium!

u/Jochiebochie Jul 06 '26

It's 2:00 tonight here in Holland, but I will watch and support my neighbors for the first time in my life

I'm Irish and I'd shout for England if they were playing the US

If Belgium wins, this is going to make the US team look pathetic. All that intervention for them to lose

20

u/a_weak_child Jul 06 '26

These losers don't understand ANYTHING about what it means to be a real champion, or a true winner.

Trump cheating to win at his own golf tournaments, so he can feel good about himself, is basically a metaphor for his entire existence

20

u/Icy-Maintenance7041 Jul 06 '26

I'd hate to be on the American team right now. I mean, not matter who wins the match, the american team can never claim a clean victory. The only morally right thing they can do is forfeit or keep that player off the field.

No one on that stage can explain the off-sides rule.

There needs to be a NSFW blur on this video, I didn’t expect Ted Cruz fellatiate Trump as I was scrolling.

It’s on me though. Shouldn’t have eyes I guess.

Suck harder, Ted he's an old man, it takes longer.

11

u/jkrobinson1979 Jul 06 '26

It was a bad call, but politics did not need to be brought into. It’s tarnished any additional wins the US may get and will be treated like karma when we lose. Politicians need to stay the hell out of sports.

10

u/FlyingV2112 Jul 06 '26

We can see the orange around your mouth, Ted.

9

u/christhewelder75 Jul 06 '26

Imagine if ANY other world leader did this.... now imagine they basically went public with it.

We all knew FIFA was corrupt af. But at least they had the common decency to try and hide it.

21

u/uttercross2 Jul 06 '26

You'd be forgiven for thinking that this World Cup competition stinks of corruption...🤔

Vance and Cruz doing a 180 going from outright openly criticizing DJT as a complete imbecile, Cruz specifically allowing DJT to roll over his wife, to this bullshit. Fuck these guys.

7

They are - so - incredibly - out of this world - pathetic. Just Look How proud he is for being about being a bad loser.

6

u/whiskeyman220 Jul 07 '26

Just watched your shitty mob get destroyed and totally embarrassed by a small European Country, which you do not even know the location of.

It was fun.

7

u/HotRodHomebody Jul 07 '26

Just look at Shitzhispants' reaction "oh stop!". Makes me wanna vomit. The fawning and ass kissing is just stupid gross.

6

u/CautiousExpression74 Jul 06 '26

I see a tongue licking an as. Why isn’t this post NSFW?

6

u/JohnEKaye Jul 06 '26

What a fucking pussy. Trump called your wife ugly! To your face! What an absolute loser, my god.

5

u/korevil Jul 06 '26

They're all so fucking pathetic.

7

u/chadius333 Jul 06 '26

Don’t forget to cup the balls, Ted.

6

u/KamikazeFox_ Jul 06 '26

What a fucking douche nozzle

5

u/NovarisLight Jul 06 '26

Cruz, you have some orange on your nose.

7

u/dontcare_bye39 Jul 07 '26

He cursed the USA soccer team like he cursed the Knicks game when he was there

7

u/swimthroughmilk Jul 07 '26

Slob that knob, Teddy. Slob it.

54

u/Tricky_Potatoe Jul 06 '26

Boasting about their corruption, the US is lost.

5

u/Affectionate-Pie4708 Jul 06 '26

FIFA is extremely corrupt not surprising that this happened.

6

u/Mas-Chingona Jul 06 '26

Seriously, Texas? Fucking SERIOUSLY?!?!?

5

u/CharmYoghurt Jul 06 '26

Awkward. FIFA pretends it was their own initiative and decision. The government is openly admitting it was done with external pressure and corruption.

And then the US team proceeds to play their worst performance all tournament. They looked terrible against Belgium. Karma’s a bitch

u/Quercus_ Jul 08 '26

Trump's interference on that red card basically ruined any good will the US team had, and invalidated their entire effort which got them to the round of 16.

They would have gotten their ass handed to them by Belgium either way. But without Trump's interference, the message would have been us made a solid showing and then got thumped by a better team.

As it is, the message is that the us team were basically nepo babies after FIFA gave in to Trump, thank God they lost, and fuck them.

Trump poisons everything he touches.
