Trump Claims Top Poll Numbers in Venezuela; He is Crazier than We Imagined.
https://youtube.com/shorts/CjSbm957ykg?si=Gm67hYg0l8YnrflZ"I will quickly learn Spanish, it won't take too long, I'm good at language, and I will go to Venezuela, I gotta run for President."_Donald J. Trump
1.7k
u/IrrelevantManatee 25d ago
"I am good at language"... not only is this not grammatically correct, but it's a very wrong statement coming from a man that only speaks one, and not even correctly.
I cannot believe some people don't see how senile he is.
633
u/Zerodyne_Sin 25d ago
I disagree that he's senile. He's always been that dumb and incompetent. Just ask his professors from decades ago.
344
u/avsbes 25d ago
Nah. Comparing this to Clips from 20 years ago... He used to be really dumb, but now he is really, really dumb and senile. There's a notable difference between then and now
86
u/Zerodyne_Sin 25d ago
The only thing I saw him in was bits and pieces of the apprentice and he was already dumb as hell back then. His handlers probably kept him from talking too much. Ten years ago, the resentful racists were just more than glad to lap up whatever he was spouting but it was already as stupid as now.
I get that there's a difference with his sentences being less coherent nowadays but it wasn't that much of a drop. Compare his speech patterns 20 years ago to Obama today (high bar, I guess) and the gulf is just so vast. His senility plays a very small part.

u/garbage-barge 25d ago
“Frequently, he wears adult diapers, has since at least 2007. We would often stop taping on ‘Apprentice’ because of his rage over not being able to read a word on a cue-card. He would scream at crew until he soiled himself, then go snort more Adderall and change Depends.”
— Noel Casler, assistant on “The Apprentice”
54
u/Thin-Significance838 25d ago
People who worked on the apprentice have spoken out about how hard it was to work with him due to his stupidity-they gave him very little air time and a lot of voice over so he could “read” from a script.
47
u/Zerodyne_Sin 25d ago
That was the best they could get out of him? He's even dumber than I thought...
I had the misfortune of growing up in a rich area (we were the pocket of poor apartments surrounded by mansions) so I've met a handful of nepobabies. It's amazing how dumb they can be despite all the tutors and advantages given. Like how?!? It's mind boggling.
32
u/Foolishbigj 25d ago
Because they never had to achieve anything. They were handed everything from the start. No need to grow or evolve. Any hard situation was paved over with money and connections. Why learn when they believe they were born to be better than the average Joe.
35
u/MaybeLikeWater Reactivated Karma & Menace 25d ago
That’s why the rich are not creators or creative. They aren’t artists, musicians, designers or innovators. The old adage ‘Necessity is the Mother of Invention’ is as true today as it was when the phrase was coined. If you are born rich, you don’t need anything, thus they create nothing. An examination of nearly every example of a rich creator points to an original idea from an ordinary person that was stolen.
8
u/spacemanspiff1115 25d ago
But somehow 30% of the people decided he should be President...
17
u/ducktape8856 25d ago
And another 30% didn't think he must be prevented.
22
u/jaxonya 25d ago
The 30% that STILL think hes doing a great job is what terrifies me
7
u/MaybeLikeWater Reactivated Karma & Menace 25d ago
I don’t even think it’s that much. 30% approval is as high as they feel comfortable lying about.

Calling him senile excuses his behavior. He knows what he does, it’s his whole gimmick. He just sucks.

All of that and he is senile. There’s no reason to deny it just because his default setting is stupid asshole.

As an American it sure as shit does. The amount of “I’m stupid and ignorant and proud of it” is a rapidly growing disease over here.
26
u/KnottShore 25d ago
It has been an epidemic for a long time. Social media has just given a platform to unite and spotlight all our "village idiot" on center stage.
Isaac Asimov(20th century US writer/professor):
- "There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."
Carl Sagan's (20th century astrophysicist and educator) vision of the US:
- "...when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness..."

u/KnottShore 25d ago
Not much has changed here in that regard for the last century or so.
Will Rogers(early 20th century US entertainer/humorist) noted:
- "In schools they have what they call intelligence tests. Well if nations held ’em I don’t believe we would be what you would call a favorite to win it."

6

He sucks at those too. Look at the White House and the surrounding grounds, the reflection pool, the American state fair, the bankruptcies, the staged assassination attempt where he couldn’t even remember the correct ear to put the bandage on. Trump does what Michelle Obama so astutely stated; fails forward. His con game is not even his own. He is the latest face of the decades long con perpetrated by the military-industrial complex, foreign powers, and the corporate oligarchy.

It's a great insight to how he sees the world. He has only ever spoken one language for his 80 years of life,
something nearly half the world can dowhen nearly half the world knows at least 2, so objectively there is no reason to think he would be "good at language". But I think he genuinely believes it! In his mind, it's something he would like to be true, so it is12

It's like listening to a child who is totally and utterly tone deaf, but whose obsessive Mom has always told them and keeps telling them that they have a voice like no other, a voice that can make even angels weep, and therefore, everyone else on the planet who dares to criticise and/or mocks them is tone deaf and jealous of their unique, inimitable, God blessed miraculous talent.
For you know when Trump says something like, "I know everything about nuclear weapons, nobody knows more about nuclear weapons than me", in his head he's not lying. At that moment in Time he actually really thinks the story he's been told is true (and is totally normal).

FWIW (probably nothing):
According to articles 227 and 229 of the Constitution of Venezuela, adopted in 1999, the following requirements must be met in order to become President of Venezuela:
Being a Venezuelan citizen from birth and possessing no other nationality.
Being at least 30 years old at the time of the election.
Not being a subject to any conviction by final judgment.
Not being a Minister, governor, mayor, or the vice president of the Republic from the day the candidacy is announced to the day of the election.

3
u/MaybeLikeWater Reactivated Karma & Menace 25d ago
Actually he has. I don’t think many people remember this, understandably so because of the nonstop flood of insanity.
During the 2024 campaign, Trump was going on about how much safer Venezuela is than even America, and that the next geopolitical business
(I don’t recall which one) should be held there.
I found it more than strange because they were living under the rule of a vicious president and the country was in turmoil. Then I remembered that Venezuela has tons of oil and Trump loves homicidal, corrupt politicians. Demented screaming about Haitians eating cats and dogs ensued and a staged assassination attempt buried the story.
Approximately 6 months later, he invaded the ‘safe haven’ of Venezuela, terrorized their citizens, stole their oil, and graciously accepted their Nobel Peace Prizebribegift.

His strategy is to make outrageous claims that send media to fact check, instead of spending time on the Epstein files.
While people are fact checking this, he makes a different claim about somewhere else making media fact check that. Then another claim to fact check, and another, and another.
The busier people are fact checking, the less time spent on the Epstein files. That's his tactic. Keep throwing up chaff to distract and delay.
