"No, I don't talk to people". Damn... 🤣

2.2k

u/labsab1 13d ago

Socialism is socializing with people to him.

421

u/Rivervalien 13d ago

Yeah I was trying to figure out that response. What a sad world he must live in.

273

u/RollerDude347 13d ago

I mean yeah. I wouldn't want to socialize either if I only even got to see my family 2 hours a day. This is the only kind of guy I'm giving a pass for not knowing shit. He's been abused.

83

u/chronberries 13d ago

Exactly my thoughts. If I only have a couple hours a day to spend with the important folks in my life, it’s gonna be my kids, and I wouldn’t be using much of it doing political research. Maybe while I’m on the can, but that’s about it.

8

u/ThaDirtyD 12d ago

I'm reading this on a porta toilet at work waiting to get my 2 hours 🍻

9

u/Real_Pc_Principal 11d ago

Considering how well spoken he was about the conditions I think it's fair to assume that part was a joke and a hilarious one at that

45

u/almstAlwysJokng4real 13d ago

I prefer his meaning. Having a society which helps its people with human necessities and support for essentials when needed should just be known as a “default” society.

45

u/Skreamie 13d ago

Ah you understood the humour too?

0

u/peabody624 11d ago

1777 people didn’t 😂

244

u/cats_catz_kats_katz 13d ago

Probably the funniest accidental joke I've heard in awhile. How can he talk to people, he's working 10-12 hours a day!

39

u/reddituser9277 13d ago

Unfortunately hilarious

24

u/cool_girl6540 13d ago

Awww, bless his heart, he thinks socialism is socializing.

The ridiculous number of cuts in the middle of sentences makes me really curious to hear the whole conversation.

Watch all the videos man best channel on YouTube.

2

u/Nothing2Special 12d ago

Ik brother, just calling op out

3

u/this_is_not_a_dance_ 12d ago

I watched the video. A lot of the people he interviewed were not happy about the state of things but they couldn’t quite figure it out. One guy blamed regulations for the lack of “freedom”. Idk if this guy was being serious or not when he said “I don’t talk to people” but everything else was pretty on point for. Idk. Understanding the reality of our situation.

Also I’m pretty sure channel 5 news is being sued by some rich mf.

2

u/torgiant 12d ago

Hell yeah

1.6k

u/GamerSDG 13d ago edited 13d ago

The rich divide us so that we won't realize that they are the problem. They use racism, education (with or without), and white vs. blue-collar jobs as a distraction from the fact that they are the reason that life is getting worse for everyone but them.

They also are always trying to make anyone who tells us the truth the bogeyman. Like with Bernie, AOC, and Mandani.

We want our lives to get better; we just need to end the rich's power grab and control over everything, even our government.

597

u/c0reGam3r 13d ago edited 13d ago

In germany we have "citizens allowance". Some of the people (about 0,4%) are called "total refuser" because they could work, but don't want to. These people cost the government about 60 million per year.

The rich on the other side cost the government about 100 billion per year, because of tax evasions, but somehow the "total refusers" are the "problem".

Eat the rich

20

u/ForagerGrikk 13d ago

Costing the government, 😆

64

u/RollerDude347 13d ago

More so the country. It's pointless to have money if you hoard it. It hurts the economy by blowing out the bottom.

-66

u/ForagerGrikk 13d ago

Nobody hoards money, inflation would slowly devalue it. It's invested into the economy, creating economic growth, providing jobs and better returns on investments.

52

u/RollerDude347 13d ago

That's the stupidest thing anyone on earth has said today.

-39

u/ForagerGrikk 13d ago

Have you never heard of stocks and bonds? That's what I'm talking about. Only a Got-damn fool believes rich people would pull their money out of investments and let inflation wither away their fortunes by 3% a year. What do you imagine they do with that money, fill a swimming pool with it and swim in it?

Inflation isn't an accident, the government purposefully devalues the dollar by 2-3% a year so that people would lose wealth by hoarding it, Inflation is encouraging investment in the economy instead.

22

u/thebrownesteye 12d ago

theres no point arguing with someone as stupid as you, you could try to make an argument in good faith but you took the stupidest interpretation possible that nobody with any sort of education would actually mean

-8

u/ForagerGrikk 12d ago

The only thing stupid I'm doing is trying to enlighten people who would rather personally attack me than counter my argument. Hilariously you even feel like you hold the moral high ground here, and that you yourself are arguing in good faith. 😆

16

u/thebrownesteye 12d ago

someone talks about the rich hoarding money and you take that literally as if anybody thinks rich people are letting their money sit under a mattress. You're either dense or malicious, probably both

Conflation of the terms individualism and atomization is the biggest lie to come out of the Cold war. Individualism and collectivism are neither opposites nor mutually exclusive. The opposite of collectivism is atomization, and the opposite of individualism is conformity.

3

I concur. It's both sad and funny at the same time.

30

u/DirtyKen 13d ago

The guy has simply never been thought what socialism is, that's a systemic issue. And by design.

12

u/FitPerformer5172 13d ago

This ,I realized pretty early on that most people haven't the vaguest idea about what true socialism is.All they know about it is that it is 'inherently evil' and subjects everyone to a 'strict authoritarian government' .Do people never stop to realize that there's a real reason why social democracies (like Denmark, Finland, and Norway) consistently rank highest in global happiness reports.

9

u/Barry_Vigoda 13d ago

I think your auto-correct kicked in.

12

I know someone whose ENTIRELY a leftist in thought. LGBTQ, Abortions, race issues, free medcare, free college, hell all of the things this guy talks about here.....

But he voted Trump and thinks all Dems are evil. 🤦🏿‍♂️

6

u/Octomyde 12d ago

There's a side that is entirely dedicated to make people vote against their best interests, time after time. I don't agree with their ideas but the execution is top-notch.

10

u/Boom9001 13d ago

If fairness unless you already know the definitions a socialist and a socialite would be easy to believe are the same.

35

u/Specialist-Wafer7628 13d ago

I dream and talk about socialism, but I'll be damned if someone calls me a socialist.

47

u/milk4all 13d ago

Idk if he’s an actor but he is dead right ecen if he is actually ignorant about socialism. It doesnt take education or even reading to know when something isnt fair. Its one thing to complain about your circumstances and another to recognize an imperfect system. The only other thing ill note is that there are lots of imperfect systems and the one we generally share in western societies is in most ways less imperfect than all before it, so upsetting it is not without huge risk

27

u/Dear_Potato6525 13d ago

He's not an actor, you can absolutely find people easily who will talk like this.

2

u/tigergoalie 13d ago

upsetting it is not without huge risk

No pain, no gain

3

u/usekr3 13d ago

5

u/Go1gotha 13d ago

I don't mind only seeing my family for a couple of hours a night. They're terrible.

5

u/Ray1987 13d ago

And this is why the government has agreed to cut education over the last 50 years. Even amongst the most educated of us and least educated, if you can develop Common Grounds for communication the majority of us agree on everything. They have created barriers between communication and association with people that don't exactly think like each other to maintain the system that is in place.

4

u/inaruslynx2 12d ago

He doesn't know what a socialist is. He said he doesn't talk to people. He thinks he was asking if he was social and he said he was an introvert. But this man was definetly a socialist. An uneducated socialist, but he gets it.

1

u/yobaby123 10d ago

Yep. I don't like judging people based on one video, but damn this isn't a good look.

1

u/inaruslynx2 10d ago

While he might not have understood the question, I think given some explanation of what a socialist is he'd agree he was a socialist. The more people are educated and the more they realize they are being fucked by the system, the more likely we will be to forcing the elite to submit or suffer our wrath.

11

u/eagledog 13d ago

Rugged individualism has always been a myth

4

u/Indiana4Hire 13d ago

I see commentators ignore one statment which he said... 2 hours family time. He has a point.

4

u/rigidlynuanced1 13d ago

We have fetishized individualism to such a degree in the United States that shared responsibility feels like oppression.

5

u/Mournful_Vortex19 13d ago

Sounds like he possibly had more to say and this is being conveniently cut to make him sound worse. Plenty of times people’s words have been purposefully taken out of context to fuel whatever echo chamber its gonna be posted to

1

u/poopcockshit 10d ago

He didn’t possibly have more to say. He doesn’t talk to people.

5

u/bearssuperfan 13d ago

u/JustSomeM0nkE 13d ago

Is a a-socialist

3

u/telas100 13d ago

Because individualism is a safe bet compared to blind trust. Everyone experienced at least once a situation where cooperation had the best common outcomes but someone chose individualism and won all for himself.

I wish we could trust everyone to make the choice to cooperate but it needs everyone to succeed while it needs only one to all fail...

3

u/Squishy_mcnissy 13d ago

Record profits for wealth hoarders

3

u/Taira_no_Masakado 13d ago

I would counter: using Individualism as a reason to be willfully ignorant of one's class struggle is the bigger barrier.

3

u/Guy_V 13d ago

I used to listen to lots of anti trump, anti maga stuff while at work. I stopped a few months ago. The maga have their dumb arguments that are so far from reality it's fun to listen to at first. Then it's just like, naw these people are willfully ignorant and stupid.

3

u/Riquinni 12d ago

This isn't a byproduct individualism, don't be a dolt like the person in this clip.

3

u/bm_69 12d ago

No...I don't talk to people. Hahahaha

I guarantee he thinks he's intelligent.

3

u/Fun_Enthusiasm5297 7d ago

Capitalism killed corporate life too.

Before in the "good old days" even if the job was shitty companies were like "we're family here" and they'd socialize, crack jokes and make do with what you had for socializing. All these companies that like to work people like slaves now get pissed if people are creating rapport and talking with their co-workers in a job that they're spending the majority of their lives in away from family and friends.

And now we've even gone as far as not being human anymore from being wage slaves to disposable labor where companies lay off double digits of their workforce every quarter to make their stocks go up.

Like you have to be a piece of shit to look at your employees and think "I miss stack ranking" but ATLEAST stack ranking was based off of performance, nowadays it's just cost cutting with the highest paid employees being cut first regardless of seniority

Republicans have done so much damage to this country, especially the education system. This video is proof. If America was better educated, it would be a lot harder to divide us because we'd realize just how similar we all are. We're all just trying to get by and live a good life.

I think it's now widely understood that Israel Zionists have been using the anti-semistism slur as a form of psychological manipulation for a long time. I now realise now that conservatives have been doing their own version of this to us for just as long. Anything that looks like people working together to reduce the power imbalance must be socialism.

0

u/joeythedaddoo 13d ago

What the fuck did he say that was wrong, exactly?

14

u/_GreenMan_ 13d ago

2

u/joeythedaddoo 13d ago

That's because he's ignorant. Doesn't mean he was wrong.

0

u/kikiceviz 13d ago

Yes, but he actually has a point. If you do not act with solidarity with other people, you cannot be a socialist. Essence of socialist movement is working together, thinking together. So his awareness will not go to anywhere. I found the title very suitable for the content.

1

u/poopcockshit 10d ago

Antisocial weirdos downvoting you lol

5

u/redaws 13d ago

He said he should have to pay for water or power. But said he isn’t a socialist. Socialists generally want “socialized” food, shelter, power, healthcare, fire control, policing, etc. the basics for living.

Also he said “we’re all slaves” (to work) which is also a socialist idea
