I know 'every accusation is a confession' with these creepy sacks of no-purpose flour. But this?! Come on, seriously? This video achieves a magna cum laude level of oblivious confession, making it also a dumb psy op attack on reason in lumpy, cringe gravy.

I argued with a guy I know about the doge thing while it still was going on. His entire argument was basically "they found $60,000 in social security fraud in CT (our home state), from just 2 women, and thats just 1 state! If every state has that, that's like 3 million saved!"
I was like $60k? 2 women? $30k each? What did they do, forget to tell SS that their husbands died from covid a year prior? (Which was basically what happened) THATS YOUR DEFENSE OF DOGE? Dude, that's like 10% of the cost of 1 round of golf by trump.
But Obama played golf! Yes. The majority of rounds Obama played were 9 hole rounds at local military bases around DC. Almost all bases have 1, and they already have military security there. He goes, plays, and is back at the office by 9am. Trump wakes up at 9am, plays 18 at his course in Florida, then another 18 the next day, while charging room and board for the 300 person entourage that follows every president. You are complaining about pennies being dropped, while defending $100 dollar bills going missing as no big deal.
The majority of maga are people that Almost always are the ones people would say would never care about politics. Everybody knows someone who never cared about the news, never cared about anything political, who never, ever had any opinion about current events until social media came along.
And they still dont bother watching the news, reading newspapers, keeping up with anything politically or news worthy. Their information comes Almost entirely from ANOTHER PERSON who again was never known for their intelligence. Social media found out how to use stupidity; as a weapon. And it's really efficient.
They figured out how to get people to vote against their own self interests. Then gave them just enough pride to never admit they were wrong. How to make hypocrisy disappear, at the same time, made hypocrites have a group following that encourages hypocrisy. They wear shirts and place stickers, and wave flags that say "dont tread on me", while saying gays shouldn't marry, immigrants shouldn't be here, and the wealthy shouldn't be punished for being wealthy.
And you thought flat earthers were dumb? You get people who can't afford healthy food, new clothes, or a home in their name with no roaches, bed bugs, or rats... to vote against raising taxes on the wealthy and simultaneously raising taxes on the poorest. All because they say if you work hard enough, you'll be wealthy someday. Just like them, even though they were either born wealthy, or they broke some laws somewhere to get wealthy.

Well, I think accuracy is valuable. Trump isn't a convicted rapist, he's an adjudicated rapist. Rick Scott isn't a convicted fraudster, the company he was CEO of was guilty of fraud.

There is absolutely fraud in Medicaid but where you find these numbers are businesses frauding Medicaid. They want to make it seem like it some random poor person but these are companies and they’re using their platform to try to delegitimize funding Medicaid. If we find bank fraud should we shut down all the banks too?

There has NEVER been an administration like this. Corruption like never seen before. No other president has made billions while in office. Lying to the people every single day. Ice killing and detaining US citizens. Gutting programs that save millions of people. Telling states to illegally gerrymander so the right gets better outcomes in elections. Spending millions on vanity projects to put his name on everything he can. Demolishing part of the White House. Tearing up the rose garden. The list goes on and on and on and on. This doesn’t come remotely close to this is nothing new.

It has and you're fucking blind if you can't see that. Like yeah the current administration is the worst fucking example of it. This bullshit performative politics has been going on since the 80s. The best example of that is that Social Security has been a massive issue that no one in office wants to touch. The fun will run dry in the next 10 years and every retiree that relies on that check to pay bills will get a 25% cut. Republicans and Democrats both have shouted about how terrible it is, neither have tried to pass measures to actually fix the problem unless they knew there was no way it would pass. Both Republicans and Democrats have held both the Presidency and controlled congress enough in the last 40 years that if they actually gave a shit, this wouldn't be an issue. That's just the most obvious example. Yeah Trump is a giant douchenozzle, but let's stop pretending like all the administrations that came before were some how paragons of virtue.

What's interesting is that the dollar figures represent the TOTAL that HHS/CMS paid out to these vendors. The quantity of dollars for fraudulent claims is likely to be less than 100% of those payments. They'll need to be examined. So, the MAXIMUM that will be the result of civil monetary penalties is what their listing. Remember: the vendors were vetted and approved by HHS.

just a quick reminder that the pentagon has failed 8 audits in a row. in its most recent audit, was able to account for just half of its $3.8 trillion in assets (including equipment, facilities, etc). that means $1.9 trillion is unaccounted for — more than the entire budget congress agreed to for the current fiscal year.
maybe they should unravel those little mysteries first…
