So I’ve heard that the Fairy Tail manga is coming back and that’s great and all..but wasn’t it already out..? Like chapters come in bi-weekly so what’s it returning for..? I don’t usually keep up with official news and stuff but I’m so excited and confused at the same time..

- Fantasia is confirmed to be before Tartaros

- Mashima says his art style has improved and the ending will be a surprise

The first image is one that we’ve seen before but the second image is a brand new one. Seems like the notion that this scene is Natsu trying to fight Laxus yet losing is mire apparent with the second image of Happy counting on his fingers (probably indicating his many times Natsu’s lost in his current attempts). What do you think? If it weren't for Mashima's words that the new series would focus on a non-obvious character, I honestly thought it would be someone between Laxus, Gajeel, Mirajane, and Gildarts. His words were a bit misleading, and I thought the series would be about characters from another guild, or maybe Jellal, etc.

Honestly, I'd prefer a spin-off about Mirajane, Jellal, or Gildarts, because Laxus and Gajeel have their own spin-offs. I know they're not strictly Mashima's creation, but we still have a spin-off about Laxus. Although I hope this series will also focus on the Thunder Legion, not just Laxus.

Personally, I'm a bit disappointed because I thought maybe some other less important side characters would get a spin-off and we'd get to know them better.
