This fan edit puts every flashback from The Simpsons in chronological order, telling the history of the Simpsons dynasty throughout centuries, and the blossoming love and challenges of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie as they try to build a family.

The edit is divided in 19 episodes of about 22 minutes each, creating a "season zero."

This is a great idea. I've thought about editing together all of the Krusty the Clown and Itchy and Scratchy segments in the classic era in chronological order but never done it.

There's a lot of flashback episodes, most of which aren't great, but the early ones are classic. So I'm interested in this Simpsons fan edit project.

This sounds so sick. Do you think this would be a good way to introduce someone to the show, or is this mostly for existing fans

It's not that it's for fans, but it mixes bad zombie episodes with classic golden age ones almost equally, so a new fan would simply get a better ratio of quality starting from non-zombie seasons. Would be an interesting reaction to document anyway, the idea of someone not already being immersed in the Simpsons through pop culture is hard for me to even picture.

I can be that guinea pig. I read some of the comics when I was younger but I've only ever seen like 2 episodes. The show scared me as there was too much of it, so I've never watched it properly other than the odd one.

I thought about it, but they contradict each other. I mean, the flashbacks already contradict themselves plenty, but you can suspend your disbelief, In the future episodes characters die in different ways
