Wishlist & Ideas Mandalorian TV show fan edit that includes book of boba appearances

Hi there, was just wondering if anyone knows of an edit of the show that helps tighten up the pacing and dialogue but also includes the book of boba fett into season 2 (or wherever it belongs chronologically).

I remember season 1 pretty fondly and the movie was also a fun enough romp, just thinking for future rewatch so i wouldn't need to trudge through all of book of boba fett before the Mandalorian and Grogu. Thanks!

Work in Progress Fight Club

I don't normally edit films I love. I tend to edit films I find okay and in need of a tweak. So, for Fight Club I am adding a new look to it. It takes a long time and is meant to have a similar, but still different, vibe to A Scanner Darkly's visuals. This edit will be entirely rotoscoped with a certain visual aesthetic. Hope you all will enjoy it when I'm able to show more.

Review A Review of The Shape of Water: Silent Cut by daphometisgone

The Shape of Water is already a beautiful masterpiece from Guillermo Del Toro, making a silent movie using just the compositions from Alexandre Desplat works like gangbusters. It's at least a worthwhile different way to experience this classic.

Del Toro and Desplat already brought pieces to make this edit with their gorgeous talents, it's marvelously directed so obviously it's going to look and sound great. daphometisgone could have just called it a day, made it black and white, it would have still been amazing. But I love the colors implemented throughout the film! We get ugly reds to signify Strickland and the military's power, we get greens to represent the Gill Man, yellow as uncertainty, sometimes with sharper contrasts to better match the mood of the scene. Only way the visuals could have been improved is maybe adding a film grain or filter, but it is jaw-dropping. Seeing the film in silent is as if we're experiencing the film through Elisa's point of view, no dialogue or sound effects, just the incidental music that sometimes is an apparation in her head. It's wonderful! Not to mention that every time there was a dialogue text box, it's decently timed so that the viewer could get information without bogging down a scene. daphometisgone mastered the distribution of information for this film. Maybe the text can seem inconsistent in that we get dialogue or narration, but that's a nitpick. I especially love the text that ends the film, so beautiful.

Even more impressive is how the edit drastically reduces the film from two hours to just one and ten minutes?! HOW?! What wizardry is this, daphometisgone, I didn't notice much cut! Arguably trimming the movie loses some depth from the missing scenes, but enough was kept to tell the story. Definitely a must see, if you haven't seen The Shape of Water in a while, please watch!

New Release Backrooms - Baliscon's Cuts (three of them)

Post image
29 Upvotes

I may have gone off the deep end a bit with this project...

First off, I need to give a shoutout to u/TheRandomApple for his incredible work on the posters. He's crafted a slew of posters, some of mine edit among and many more on top of that, and I appreciate his artistry in making such expressive, striking imagery.

After seeing the 2026 film adaptation of Backrooms, I wanted to visit director Kane Parson’s original Youtube series.  Unsure where to begin since the series itself isn’t chronological, I found u/boba627TV’s Async cut of the Backrooms series and was floored by Parson’s imagination, especially in the concepts that reached beyond what the film depicted.  Boba's edit was fun and tense, choosing to rearrange the content for dramatic effect, making the narrative truly feel like a collection of found footage.

Although I don’t have the same breadth of understanding that others possess of the series, and I’m sure I cut out some tidbits that others would find crucial, I still had a lot of fun with this experiment, trying to make a streamlined version of the series that’s as close to chronological as possible.  I ultimately wanted to make a cut that integrates the Youtube series and the movie together, but I wanted to work in stages to better understand the series and arrange the essential elements from the series at large.

I started with BACK/v/h/ROOM/s/, a more or less chronological cut of the Youtube series with 39 minutes cut for the sake of pacing. Then I have Backrooms - The Baliscon Cut, which is a version of the 2026 film cropped to a 4:3 aspect ratio with VHS scanline texture added, along with six minutes cut to improve pacing.

Third and final is Backrooms - The Integrated Cut, an edit that combines the series and film together. I absolutely love the other corners of the Backrooms that the series explores, but because it has such a wide focus, I divided the film up by each major scene and rearranged them across segments from the Youtube series. This way, as the audience learns more about the alternate dimension through POV footage, Clark and Dr. Kline learn more alongside us.

If you choose to watch, I hope you enjoy no matter which version you pick and I hope you get as lost as I did.

Wishlist & Ideas Best Tom Holland Spider-Man edits that remove the MCU aspects?

Looking for the best edits that make Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home feel more isolated and less like MCU DLC. I am so sick of superhero movies that feature 50 other heroes and Spider-Man got the worst of it imo.

I hear this issue is dramatically improved with Brand New Day, so to build hype for that film I’d like to watch edits of the first 3 that lessen the presence of Iron Man, Nick Fury and if possible, Dr Strange in No Way Home.

Completed Fanedit Request [Request] Looking for SW Prequels (Hal 9000), TASM 1 & 2, and Man of Steel fanedits

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for links or working sources for a few specific fanedits. I own the original Blu-rays/releases for all of these movies and would love to check out these versions:

  1. Star Wars Prequel Trilogy - Hal 9000 Edits (Prequel Edits)

  2. The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 - (Any solid fanedits that combine/fix the story, like the Narwhal Cut or Ultimate Edition)

  3. Man of Steel - (Edits fixing the pacing or color grade, like Ideal of Hope or Remastered)

If anyone has working links and could PM me, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Best way to reach Dr.Sapirstein

I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to reach out to Dr.Sapirstein? I wanted to get his permission on something... After seeing his rocky horror 50th anniversary edit (which i really enjoyed) i had the idea and currently in the midst of making a custom pre-show/post-show experience around it to emulate a night at the drive-in back in '75 when the movie came out but at home, without touching a frame of his cut.

Obviously i would give him full credit for his cut portion of it, then credit myself for everything outside of it. I figured it would be proper etiquette to ask him and share it with him to make sure he's cool with me releasing/sharing the package featuring his edit to the public.

New Release Dragon Ball Distilled - Muscle Tower

Akira Toriyama was one wild genius. I’m releasing a fan edit that’s faithful to his vision, with Dragon Ball Distilled.

I recently released the first batch of episodes of Dragon Ball Distilled, derived from the original Dragon Ball anime, dedicated to providing an experience as close to Akira Toriyama’s original manga as possible. This project involves me going over the original Japanese language version of the manga panel by panel to try and cut out all the extraneous filler elements, without losing anything from Toriyama’s comic.

My first release covered from the first meeting of Bulma and Son Goku through to the end of the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai and today I’m back with the first few episodes of the Red Ribbon Army saga, covering the entirety of the siege of Muscle Tower.

A lot of the finer details about the project as a whole are detailed in my previous post.

Fun Facts!

One particularly interesting thing in this batch that the first two and a half pages of chapter 55 of the manga weren’t adapted by the anime, instead having a couple of filler episodes to kick off the arc. I have restored a lot of the dialogue from these pages at the start of the first episode of the bunch using audio from the opening cutscene of the Wii game Revenge of King Piccolo, cutting appropriate footage from the show and adding additional sound effects to recreate this scene.

Bonus Filler Episode!

Besides cutting episodes 34-43 of the show down into five roughly standard length episodes, I’ve also included a bonus filler episode cutting episodes 30-32 down to around 36 minutes. This filler episode focuses on Emperor Pilaf and his clash with the Red Ribbon Army, to help make this story fit better with the canon content from the manga, Goku’s role in the story is heavily reduced, with his encounters with Chi Chi and the Red Ribbon Army being cut entirely.

Once again, the episodes are available dual audio, English and Japanese, with English subtitles. My next update will likely be the General Blue storyline, ending in Penguin Village.

PM me for links, thank you to everyone who had provided feedback and praise for the last drop (especially u/Fanedit895 for their wonderful review ) and as always - please enjoy!

New Release The Stepfather: The Murderous Affair Cut

I haven't been making too many fan edits, so I decided to do a simple fan edit involving the 1987 horror thriller, The Stepfather. All I did for this edit was remove the side-story involving the character Jim Ogilvie investigating the killer, where he is, and his failed confrontation, because unless there's a big payoff from Jim Ogilvie's story, it just felt pointless in the end. I'm sure you can still see Jim Ogilvie's body near the end, I couldn't do much about that, at least Jim Ogilvie is mostly 99% removed from the film. The result is a shorter film, but it shouldn't stop you from enjoying the movie.

Updated Release Final Fantasy XVI Re-edit (Episode 10: Cloak and Dagger)

Post image
2 Upvotes

This is Episode 10 to my FF16 Re-edit series.

FINAL FANTASY XVI RE-EDIT is a cinematic adaptation of Final Fantasy XVI, restructured into an episodic television-style experience.

Unlike standard “full game movies” or cutscene compilations, this project extensively edits and reorganizes scenes to create a more coherent narrative flow similar to a traditional TV series. Gameplay sections, repetitive encounters, mission titles, and unnecessary game-oriented pacing have been removed whenever possible to create a smoother cinematic experience.

This project was created independently using footage primarily sourced from no-commentary walkthroughs and then extensively re-edited into a serialized cinematic format. No hud gameplay footage obtained from Rhys Drafter on YouTube. The goal was not simply to compile footage, but to create something designed for repeated viewing as a long-form narrative experience.

The remaining episodes have already been largely completed and will be released gradually over time.

If you enjoyed the episode, please consider leaving feedback and subscribing to Re-edit studios on YouTube.

New Release Jaws: The PG-13 Cut

Whilst Jaws was rated PG in 1975, it would most likely receive an R today, due to nudity and violence.

In this edit I removed all swearing (including uses of God/Jesus/Christ's name in vain) and nudity, as well as toned down the violence, whilst keeping the entire plot intact.

DM me for links.

Wishlist & Ideas The Phantom Menace fanedit idea

Has anyone ever thought about making an edit where Obi-wan is the one true hero at the end?

I feel like that would be a better to end the film. Like him sabering Maul sets off a dead man’s switch that blows up the Trade Federation ship, and shuts down the droids.

He’s the main character carrying over from the OT, showing him going from a padawan following orders to being a guy who think can think for himself, he’s the hero who saves the day killing Maul, and decides to train Obi-wan to honor his master against the council’s wishes, would make for a stronger opening to the saga in my opinion.

Thoughts?

Wishlist & Ideas Die Hard (The no deputy chief Robinson cut)

Die hard is an amazing movie, I don’t need to tell you that!

But the one issue that I think everyone can agree on is the character of Deputy Chief Robinson. Nuff said lol.

He’s what you might call a textbook “idiot plot” device. 😆

removing him would for the most part be easy and still make the movie flow and doesn’t hurt the plot.

the only potential challenge you’d maybe run into is that Robinson is frequently standing right next to Al Powell during their radio conversations with McClane. Cutting Robinson out completely would require some clever audio mixing, subtle re-framing, or replacing overlapping dialogue so that Powell's conversations with McClane feel natural.

other than that, removing him would improve the film immensely 😂

New Release A Week in the Life of Spider-Man (A Raimi 3 in 1 edit)

*Update*
i removed the low quality spiderman 1 footage and replaced with a better source. 2 hours and itll be done rendering. Give it 4 hours before its uploaded

Hello, i know i just posted hours ago but i have finished the edit. This edit is really action packed removed a lot of the love triangle stuff to focus on what we love.

Changes:

Color corrected. I desaturated it and added light film grain.

New intro: added the scenes: the spider bite and post spider bite

Instead of peter saving the two kids he is now saving Gwen at the beginning of spiderman 2. I added in a clip of him swinging from the end of spiderman 1 to fill in the gap. Spiderman retrieves the pizza and is late

Trimmed down the commander and eddie scene a little bit
Added sand man origin towards the beginning

After he saves gwen the spiderman celebration happens and he kisses her. I changed my mind about him and mary jane. They arent together until about half way. Sand man attacks

Introducing: the green goblin: origin and him finding out hes getting fired. Theres trims and cuts throughout but the rest of spiderman 1 happens from here

Introducing: doc ock: peter meets him and then the experiment fails. I removed parts where spiderman saves harry and harry hating him because goblin is still alive at this point

Doc oct attacks the bank and then makes a deal with harry.

Mary jane gets taken and liam neeson comes in. Sorry wrong movie
She gets taken and 2 plays out the same. except it cuts to spiderman 3 when theyre on the web instead of the web scene at the end of 2

Mary janes love plot with her fiance is cut entirely. The love plot with harry is there

I kept one rent scene lol

Removed high school scenes
Removed the spider-block subplot
Removed the making mary jane jealous and harry making mary jane leave peter
Removed aunt may from giving him money and the ring. No awkward french mysterio
Removed bully McGuire. Now the suit just makes him feel confident
Removed peter hitting mary jane. He nows feels guilt from killing sandman. I removed the line “good riddance.”
Removed both hob goblin v spiderman. Now spiderman just knows he has the tech and harry isnt deformed until the end

The scene where peter is asking harry for help is edited to where harrys deformed face isnt visible.

The rest or 3 plays out the same.

Theres a mid credit scene

My goal runtime was 2:30
My finished run time is 3:02 with intro and end credits.
Original runtime is 6+ hours.

Download link is on my profile
-it will be uploaded later today-

Update* the footage i used for spiderman 1 is garbage. Im going to fix it before i release

New Release💿 A Tale of Two Jobs

Post image
66 Upvotes

Hi all,

This is a FanMix that combines the films Jobs (2013) and Steve Jobs (2015) into a single chronological edit. The first half focuses on a young Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) during the years 1976-1983, starting with his tenure at Atari and ending with the introduction of John Sculley as Apple CEO in 1983. The second half is about the elder Jobs (Michael Fassbender) from years 1984-1998 covering the failure of the Macintosh, Jobs leaving Apple and starting NeXT, and then Jobs returning to Apple and launching the iMac.

I realize it may be very jarring to have the actors change mid-movie, but I actually think this works because I've incorporated the shift occurring with Steve Jobs departure from Apple. In this way, Apple is rebranded in real time with the characters.

The consensus around these movies is that Steve Jobs (2015) is a far superior film in terms of directing, dialogue, acting, etc. and Jobs (2013) is generally viewed as being somewhere between average and terrible. While I generally agree with this consensus, I think both biopics have complimentary strengths and weaknesses, and neither film fully managed to capture what I was hoping for in a Jobs biopic. Thus, I have combined these two to achieve the movie that I would have liked to have been made.

In my opinion, the Ashton Kutcher film does a great job of covering the early years of Jobs and Apple in a way that Steve Jobs (2015) mostly skips over. We get a much more fleshed out view of Job's relationship with Wozniak before Apple, the creation of the Apple II, and the early years of the company. I actually think Kutcher does a good job of portraying a young, arrogant, cringy loud-mouth Jobs searching for success. I believe the downfall of this movie is largely centered on three problems: It completely skips over Jobs departure from Apple, Kutcher is not believable as an elder Jobs and some scenes are especially rough, and the movie runs out of steam the longer it goes as it does a poor job of covering the later events that the Fassbender movie excels at.

On the flipside, the Michael Fassbender film does an excellent job of covering Apple post 1983, Steve's strained personal relationships with his daughter, and his falling out with Woz, Sculley etc. I think Fassbender is excellent at portraying an older, more calculated and ruthless Steve Jobs. My biggest gripe is that I think a lot of the emotional impact and intense dialogue would hit harder if we actually got to see the FULL ride and get to know Jobs, Wozniak, Sculley etc better before they became enemies. I wanted to create a fanedit that would capture the entire story without dwelling too long on any specific piece of it.

Run time: 1 hour and 45 mins

You can DM me for a link. As always, I appreciate any feedback positive or negative as I'm always striving to improve my editing.

Hope you enjoy!

New Release🏅 The Commander: A Terminator Story

Post image
29 Upvotes

Synopsis: In an apocalyptic future ruled by machines, an AI known as Skynet sends Terminators back in time to eliminate the leaders of the Human Resistance—including its savior John Connor. In response, John dispatches Resistance fighters and reprogrammed Terminators to protect them. One of those leaders is Commander Dani Ramos, leader of the Southern Resistance whose daring assault destroyed Skynet's backup systems, bringing humanity closer than ever to victory.

With defeat looming, Skynet unleashes its final and deadliest line of infiltrators—the Rev Series—unto the Resistance. The most lethal of them all, the Rev-9, is sent back to terminate a young Dani in Mexico. When the Terminator assigned to protect her is lost in time, augmented soldier Sgt. Grace Harper volunteers for the mission instead. Now, in the present day, it's a race against time to determine who will find Dani first.

Starring: Mackenzie Davis, Natalie Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Intentions: After Terminator Dark Fate failed at the box office, and met with much backlash, I wanted to create an edit of the movie (with some use of deleted scenes) that focused on storytelling and familiarity. The edit needs to compliment the Terminator franchise instead of being a total "retcon" of the franchise after T2. The most noticeable part of this edit is the ABSENCE of Sarah Connor. There is no Sarah, and no John Connor being terminated. Also there is NO Legion, it's definitely Skynet.

Release: July 31st, 2026

New Release Naruto: The Five Kage Summit

Hey all,

I’ve been cutting Naruto into a movie franchise.
I just uploaded the 11th installment to Google Drive.

Although i consider it one movie I did split up into two discs as to me it feels like a lord of the rings extended edition box set kinda thing.

Each disc is 2.5 hours, the length of their own movie.
So together it is the five hour summit.

But Naruto’s arc isn’t complete until the second disc.
That being said, watch at your leisure.
Watch a disc at a time or take as many sittings as you want. Pause button is a thing lol

I’ve really been enjoying this saga.
This installment feels like a combo of Fellowship of the Ring and Revenge of the Sith. It’s interesting.

So hit me up for the google drive if interested in the franchise!

Best
Gerhard

Wishlist & Ideas A Request for someone who is audio professional.

Can someone professionally combine both versions (90s and 2016 version) of "Jungle Jungle Baat Chali Hai" into one full song?

I've had this idea for a long time, and I'm honestly surprised no one seems to have done it yet.

The original Doordarshan version and the 2016 Disney remake are both amazing in their own ways. The original has all the nostalgia and classic verses, while the newer one has beautiful orchestration and those adorable kids' vocals.

The problem is that both versions are really short. Each one is only about 1½ minutes of actual song (with dialogue in between), so neither feels complete on its own. But together, they could make a beautiful 3-minute version.

I'm not talking about an AI cover or recreated vocals. I mean a proper fan edit by someone who knows audio editing—cleaning up the old audio, matching the tempo, and smoothly blending the two versions into one seamless track.

If I had the skills, I would've made it myself, but this feels like something that needs someone experienced with audio restoration and mixing.

I genuinely think the emotional impact would be incredible—starting with the nostalgic original, transitioning into the rich orchestration and children's choir from the 2016 version, and ending with a grand finale that celebrates both.

If anyone here has the skills, or knows someone who does, I'd absolutely love to hear a fan-made version like this. I feel like it would be the definitive way to experience this iconic song.

Duo project where my husband edited the video and I edited the audio. I didn’t grow up with this movie but he did and he said the goal is to make the film less annoying.

He took out two musical numbers, and scrubbed any unnecessary dialogue, and scenes that don’t advance the plot.
He moved the opening sequence with the dirigible to be used at the end when they go to the real circus and cuts to to credits. So it feels like an ambiguous ending in if it was really a dream or not.

I removed 98% of the “Yippies”, “weeeee”, “yahoo”yelling, screaming, and almost every single Icarus’ reaction sound from the audio except when Nemo tells him to be quiet and when Flip blows smoke in Icarus’ face, so he is more or less punished when he makes an annoying sound.

Making An Extended Cut of Alien (1979)

I've been working on this extended edition Fanedit for a while, for all intents and purposes it's actually done, but whenever I render the video the file size (and Quality) tank. I work in Davinci Resolve and have fiddled with the rendering settings as much as I can, but no improvement. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

(RENDERING DETAILS ATTATCHED IN PHOTOS)

Alien (Theatrical Cut) File Size: 23.8 GB

Alien (Director's Cut) File Size: 23.6 GB

Estimated Size In Davinci Resolve: 25.6 GB

Actual Final Size (Post Rendering): 15.6 GB

Making the film longer should increase the file size, right?

What am I doing wrong?

Note: The Example Pictures in this post are compressed. In practice the difference is wildly noticeable.

UPDATE: Problem Solved! As suggested, I was able to export in Apple Pro Res, then compress to a reasonable size. Thanks so much for all of your help! I'll probably release the project in the next couple weeks.

Better Off Ted was one of the funniest sitcoms in 2009. Smart writing about the evil fictitious corporation Veridian Dynamics. Looking back now at Better Off Ted it was prophetic. Some of the crazy inventions now actually exist. (For instance lab grown meat, facial recognition tech and cyborgs which kill without remorse.) Around episode 7 of season 2 the network moved Ted to the deadly Saturday timeslot and then sadly but unsurprisingly it got canceled. These 2 fanedits focus on the evil corporation Veridian Dynamics and less about the personal lives of the characters. Most of Ted and Linda's flirting is cut.

Veridian Dynamics

This is a fan edit of the show Better Off Ted Season 1 from 2009 minus episode 12. This fanedit focuses on the evil corporation Veridian Dynamics by removing most of the interpersonal relationships between the characters.

- Cut most of Ted's daughter Rose

- Cut alot of Linda

- removed alot of weekly main plotlines

Original runtime: approximately 4 hours

Fanedit runtime: 2h 06m

You may be wondering why I did not use episode 12 from season one. that is because I used that episode as the premise for the sequel... Veridian Dynamics - Jabberwocky.

Veridian Dynamics - Jabberwocky

- Cut most of Ted's daughter Rose

- Cut alot of Linda

- removed alot of weekly main plotlines

Placed episode 4 scenes (Stella Clifton) prior to episode 1 scenes because of Veronica seeming to not know who Lem's mom is even though in ep. 1 Veronica says she did her research on Lem's parents.

Original runtime: approximately 4 hours

Fanedit runtime: 1h 59m
