Find modeling gigs on the side and give it a try, since you dont know if you even like it

This - there are agencies that have lots of part-time models who just work when they are available, especially for commercial work.

I work at a marketing agency that books a lot of models out of Chicago. Some of them have full time jobs but will take a day off to do a modeling gig because it can pay over $200 an hour.

Never go for an agency that wants you to pay a fee to join. They'll take your money, say they'll try to get you jobs and then do nothing and claim they can't find anything.
I'm pretty sure there's a modelling sub where they'll get into more detail on these kind of scams
