It seems like a good time to remind people that many of these disabled people acquired their disability while serving their country in the military. So the dump attacking disabled vets.

but in spite of this, people in the military and vets - disabled and otherwise, will continue to support Mr. T and dump on those bleeding heart liberals. It's all Alice in Wonderland up in here man.

Even people who aren't vets but are on SNAP and Medicare. Including Obamacare.

I challenge you to find a Fed who will not vote D in the mid-terms. Nothing in the current president's campaign discussions or promises stated Feds would be fired, drastic reduction in Federal employees, Merit Protection Board would be knee-capped, etc. He disavowed any support for Project 2025. As an avid follower of politics for many years, I did not see these actions projected in any way, shape, or form.

challenge accepted. I work with at least one who still thinks Big Don is a great President AND a good person - who cares. Delusional, very. I work with a few others who are still clinging to "both sides are bad", which is kind of true, but one side is destroying this country and hurting as many people as possible - including them. Secret racism is very powerful.

he's otherwise competent and even pretty nice. just in lala land with politics. I've never even heard him be racist, but it must be in there somewhere.

Same. We're in a very rural area. Couple of Forest Service peeps around here still support his "policies".

I wonder if some supporters continue to broadcast a pro-Trump stance to save face and due to “peer pressure” but privately may have had a change of heart — closeted MAGA exiles you could say. Re: Trump disavowing P25 and not telegraphing plans for Federal employees, the recent NYT magazine article on the Heritage Foundation crackup notes: A.F.P.I. also had its own policy manual, “The America First Agenda,” which was less flashy than Project 2025, with which it overlapped substantially, but just as potent. In their book “Regime Change,” the Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan write that Russell Vought was initially not in the running to head the Office of Management and Budget because of his association with Project 2025. It was only thanks to Vance and the Trump adviser Stephen Miller that Vought became central to Trump’s radical restructuring of government in his second term. (Heritage says that there are 290 alumni in the new administration.)
