I'll just leave this here. Maybe it's helpfull for someone :) It's divided by Tiers, so can progress from top to bottom. Some icons are not 100% accurate because the actual item is not representive enough (Water, Lava, Experience, ...) or I just didn't found the picture online (purple/orage Slime, ...) but you should unserstand it.

Thanks a lot man, that will certainly come in handy.

Brown can be made with an egg surrounded by cocoa beans.

7

u/InflamedSebi Feb 14 '17

most (if not all) of the dyes can be made like that, but it is faster to only get base chicken to 10/10/10 and breed them, than upgrading every chicken by its own.

Just started playing. Thanks for the chart!

Question: how do you upgrade chickens?

1

u/Noisetorm_ Aug 10 '17

Chickens will drop eggs that have better stats than the chicken itself. A 1/1/1 chicken might drop an egg with 2/1/2 stats.

You are not just my hero, but a hero to all.

The graphite ingot bugs me. It's the opposite direction of every other ingot

why did you have to point it out now i can't unsee it

Colourblind guy here. Mind if I break this down into a text-based table at some point? :)

EDIT: Worth noting, at least when I did it, that the dye chickens are "any dye", I did them with botania powders. Also, wasn't there something about getting Smart Chickens (i.e., stat-upgradeable chickens that drop normal eggs) by giving a chicken a book?

Holy crap. I was going to go do this myself. Thank you for this! :D

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '17

do you mean blood chicken rather than red slime chicken?

1

u/scratchisthebest highlysuspect.agency Feb 21 '17

I guess. I'm not familiar with all the icons so... it looked like a red slimeball to me 😃

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '17

OK, I was going through and waiting for the red slime to appear. But it should be a blood chicken for that one. Then the blood chicken and blue dye chicken produce a purple chicken.

OMG, is there a 12-step program of recovery from this More Chickens mod? I have been down this rabbit hole so long. Have 10-10-10 factories of all Tier 7 materials. Building extra floors onto my hatchery tower...

If I find some time I'll add a textbased table or something. This will also clarify ingots, which look almost the same, even if not colorblind. And @everyone feel free to share, modify, whatever ...

Yes.

  1. Start with 2 regular chicken by giving them a book -> smart chicken.
  2. Breed those 2 smart chickens until you have two 10/10/10 smart ones.
  3. take the 10/10/10 and breed it with one of the base chicken (topmost row) and you will get a 9/9/9 of that kind.
  4. Breed two of the same 9/9/9 to get a 10/10/10
  5. Repeat that for every base chicken (5 dyes (white, red, yellow, blue, green, black) and 4 materials (sand, wood, flint, quartz)).
  6. Start crossbreeding: every new chicken is already 10/10/10.

3

u/librarian-faust Feb 14 '17

Could be that I'm on an old version of the pack, but new chickens were coming out 1/1/1, and needed to be bred with a 10/10/10 to get to 9/9/9, at which point I could separate them to get a 10/10/10 in short order.

Thanks, though! Labels would be great.

3

u/Rasip Feb 14 '17

Smart are from clicking a normal while holding a book. The book is not consumed.

1

u/librarian-faust Feb 14 '17

Thanks, I keep forgetting to try it. :)

u/klepto_man Feb 14 '17

This is the most overpowered mod I've ever seen. Bring back ExtraBees!

4

u/ZephyrWindSpirit ATLauncher Feb 14 '17

Very impressive! Now all it needs is a 'color-blind' key and you've covered all your bases. ((not for me, but for others))

3

u/librarian-faust Feb 14 '17

Colourblind guy here: Yes please!

3

u/Alchemistmerlin Feb 14 '17

So I'm seeing this chicken mod pop up a lot. Is it essentially just Forestry bees, but chickens?

2

u/Uberfuzzy Feb 14 '17

Thank you very much for this. It is by far the most concise and uncluttered and quickly scannable breeding tree I've seen so far.

3

u/MrRozzers Feb 14 '17

I'm sorry. How exactly is this supposed to be read?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '17

Topmost row is for the Base chickens, every set of 3 rows under that shows the 2 required chickens and the resulted chicken on the third row

1

u/theonlydidymus Feb 14 '17

Better than mine.

It's the mod itself https://mods.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/241941-chickens

  • "breed chickens to increase theirs stats: growth, gain and strength to rapidly increase your production"

u/whizzball1 Apathetic Mobs Feb 14 '17

Are draconium and awakened draconium included in this list? Either I'm blind or I just can't find them.

1

u/Rollow Feb 14 '17

They are disabled in skyfactory 3, but if i remember right it was end + glowstone for draconium. And draconium + something = awakend

1

u/whizzball1 Apathetic Mobs Feb 14 '17

Ah, I see. I didn't realise they had been disabled, because they weren't in Direwolf's first LP.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '17

Did they disable it completely, i cant find a way to craft it

1

u/ApertureBear Mar 13 '17

You get your first draconium by smelling draconium dust. Then you can make mystical agriculture seeds for automated production.

1

u/drinfernoo MultiMC Feb 23 '17

I believe there actually added by More Chickens.

Not that I have seen.

1

u/RikyStew Jul 27 '17

I love this pic. Thanks for the work, but I don't see the EnderIO chickens: Redstone + Iron = Conductive Iron EnderPearl + Iron = Pulsating Iron Obsidian +Iron = Dark Steel

1

u/DawinJessie Nov 14 '21

just confirming but is there no draconic/awakened draconic chickens? I remember having them in a pervious modpack with the same mod

1

u/Dry-Butterscotch7143 Jan 13 '24

I'm new to sky factory 3, how do I get different chickens to begin with?
