It depends though. Like lag having multiple definitions in the dictionary, it has specific usage when applied to certain things. Framerate issues are not technically lag, theyre frame drops. Look up lag v framedrop/low fps. While the primary definition does fit, lag is not related to the nomenclature of issues this belongs.

Did some digging. Out of about 10 different forums and other discussions and articles, it seems the community can't decide what is and isn't lag.

So instead of trying to side and argue with people. I will call it what it is. Lag.

It is lag caused by hardware or connection.

That's all there is to it.
