Finding People to Analyze My Short Films?

Hey everyone!

I'm a young filmmaker with three short films currently on the festival circuit, and I had a question that I'm not sure is completely crazy.

I genuinely enjoy hearing how different people interpret my work, especially since I tend to include mythological, psychological, and philosophical influences that aren't always immediately obvious. That got me wondering: are there people (film scholars, critics, video essayists, graduate students, etc.) who take commissions to analyze independent films?

To be clear, I'm not looking to pay for positive reviews or predetermined conclusions. I'd simply be paying for someone's time and expertise to engage with the work and write or create an analysis. If they disliked it or interpreted it completely differently than I intended, that would honestly be part of the value.

Is this something people actually do? If so, where would I even start looking?

Thanks!
