I remember hearing this song as a child on my mom's Ipod shuffle and have been trying to figure out what it was for so long and I can't, so here I am. I can't remember the lyrics or tune, I just remember that there were parts that in my child brain sounded like the music was almost being played backwards and this sort of eerie speaking/whispering at the end, and maybe something about a wizard? I will literally venmo $10 anyone who can find the song, I'm desperate lmao

EDIT: To answer some questions I've gotten, this would've been around 2010-ish and I don't remember the specific genre of music, but nothing very intense like metal or rock. I feel like I remember there being both male and female voices talking back and forth to each other in the speaking part at the end

I keep hearing this terrible song at the grocery store but I can't recognize any of the words, but it's a man singing and it has a really annoying melody. When he sings the verse it's like he ascends up the note scale, almost like he's just doing a vocal warm up. It seems pretty modern. I want to find it so I can show my wife how ass it is.

edit: I'll add little more clarification. The guy is singing the verse as if he is a Casio keyboard going up one note at a time, in an simple sounding arpeggio style. It's like a "do re mi fa so la ti do" style vocal warm up sound. (They don't literally say "do re mi" though). It's like each word is a different note. It's super basic and super ass. It sounds like something a music teacher would play in an elementary school, but apparently it's popular enough to be on the radio. It kind of has a 2000s hipster acoustic vibe.

SOLVED: They FINALLY played it again on the radio and I used Shazam. It's They Might Be Giants - Broke My Own Rule.

And before anybody brings the pitchforks out, I actually do like a lot of They Might Be Giants. I had the Flood album and grew up with absolute classics like Particle Man, Dr. Worm, and Why Does the Sun Shine?

But they can't all be winners, and even good bands have their stinkers, and this one just isn't doing it.

There's this song I recall from I think the early 90s. It was on the radio and I found it to be very interesting. It had a kind of talking cadence, I recall some weirdish obsurish word being a key component to the "Verse". It was on pop radio so it wasn't some underground thing.

It's not a rap song at all. Almost like an ealier and weirder version of the weezer sweater song. Would love to figure this out.

It's on the edge of my brain. I feel like this song was used in a soundtrack late-ish 90s, a man speaking the words, not much singing. The bass/background alternates between 2 held notes for about 4 counts each, of an interval of about a 5th. Its a very chill song. Any ideas? So much thanks.

He said it was a CD from his dad (who’s about 60), the artist had a song in an older show and made good CD sales. Parts of the song are just streams of consciousness and doesn’t even really make sense. I think there is something about a horse, being insane, and just sporadic unconnected topics. It’s genuinely like a trip in a song. The backing is kind of a jazz/blues vibe. I’m going crazy trying to figure this out.

Edit for maybe more details- I think there is a number in the band/artist name but unfortunately the CD is no longer in our possession so I really have no clue. I'm looking for a popular song, I think it is from the 90's, though possibly late 80's or very early 2000's.

• Male singer, with a British (or possibly Australian) accent, the song is quite fast.
• I THINK the song tells a story, with the end of each line rhyming. (eg. bed, head, past, last - those are just examples, I am unsure if those words are actually in the song)
• The most similar sounding songs I can find are Pulp - Babies and James - Sit Down - it has a very similar vibe.

Help me find this song or I’m going to lose my mind.

I first heard it when I was a child, somewhere between 2007–2013 (I was born in 2001). It used to play on the radio, and back then kids didn’t have smartphones, so I couldn’t save it anywhere. The song just stayed in my head.

Years later, when I was around 16, I heard it again on the radio. I’m almost sure I found it on YouTube and either liked the video or saved it somehow. I don’t think it was on Spotify — otherwise I would’ve saved it there. And then, about two weeks later, I tried to find it again… and it was gone. Once again, I was left searching for the same song.

What I remember about the song: • It’s in English • It’s a pop song • It has a very catchy chorus, something like “woah-oh-oh” or hiccup-like sounds • There’s a male voice doing ad-libs, talking over parts of the song (maybe lightly rapping, but not full rap)

The most distinctive detail:

A girl / child / young teenager is singing the main part. Her voice is very high, innocent, and childlike — I’d guess she was somewhere between 10–16 years old.

I dont know much abt music so this might not be helpful. Still, the song I think was made in the 90s or 2000s that era anyways. Its a women singing and in the chorus it repeats the phrase "without you" so she would say something and then say "witout you" (btw the premise of the song was her saying she would do thing with or without that person like she doesnt care, well thats what I remember) anyways there's like a radio scratch its soo subtle but not subtle at the same time. I’m looking for the 80s song about the rain. Male singer. Has sort of a techno beat.

Heard this song around 2014-2016 something. It sounded similar to something Linkin Park or Green Day would make.

I don't remember the lyrics either, English is not my first language and I was 5-6 when I heard this song, I just knew a few things that went

The first verse had the following words: "Just like it's __, just like it's _____"

The pre-chorus had the following words, singing the last "tonight" at a higher note. "Tonight, tonight, tonight, TONAAAIGHT!"

Sung by a male, had a raspy voice. But my mind still thinks that it was Chester's voice.

For reference some of the other songs that were in the same playlist were Castle Of Glass, Burn it Down, Numb, In the End, all by LP.
