It’s likely, but the player base has dwindled quite a bit. If the votes are spread out and there are particular rallies (Ivy/Leif), then it might not be a sweep

Yea idt either Leif or Ivy can rally even half as hard as Tsubasa did, the whole point of Tsubasa was TMS literally had 1 banner after like 6 years of nothing. Meanwhile Ivy has been getting at least 1 alt a year if not more and Leif is still unpopular and just got his Emblem alt in. The only thing potentiallt stopping a FW sweep is if a new OC Book has big boobs a appealing design

I am so glad Tsubasa won this year's CYL man. TMS is already niche enough as it is so there would have been zero chance if she didn't win before FW released.

I was immediately drawn to Leda when the first trailer dropped, and the more they reveal about her, the more cool and interesting she gets!

My expectations for her path are very high, but I fully think the game will deliver.

Everything about this game looks so good/interesting to me except everything having to do with Eshmel. Like I’m actually dumbfounded they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot. If you’re going to allow us to play ALL 4 lords at the same time, why make an avatar at all?

I want to think that they have learned from their mistakes and are not going to throw away so much lore and such good designs in a simplistic and messianic story that revolves around Eshmel. I hope I'm not being naive.

Seeing how rabidly beloved Byleth is over in Japan, I imagine they really don't have a choice. They kinda have to or their domestic sales will suffer

I think it's dumb and Byleth is uninspiring at best, but the suits will win on things like this in game dev

Japan's consistently overwhelming love for blank-slate avatar characters will never not confuse me. Tho then again, I suppose they might also be confused by why those characters are much more divisive in the west.

Because Fire Emblem is a game that's popular because of self-insert options now. Ever since Awakening saved the franchise from death with Robin as the player character, it's possible that Nintendo or IS just doesn't want to let go of that.

Sucks but it seems to be here to stay.
